The Formula 1 isn't interested in having a Alpen Grand Prix but MotoGP and DTM seem to be. It is expectable the new track will be finished in September 2010. Unconfirmed sources report, that the DTM will be there for the reopening Event on the 40th day of Jochen Rindt's death. The FIA European Truck Championship and the motoGP seem to have shown also interest to this project.
The A1-Ring layout will not be resumed but the new circuit shall have still some sections of the old Formula One track. The new layout shall be over 5 kilometers long and will also include some modernised sections of the old Österreichring. What layout we will see next year is still not confirmed.
