Quote from lucaf :are you Rony going to use any layout that would contain better braking point signs?

I already loaded layout in server from the first RTFR at Rockingham,it has braking markers for turn 1,rest are somewhat marked originally.

Oh, I see. Actually my layout was named RTFR...maybe saved from your serv. But it had also one "100" sign before the tight U-right behind the pits...

After 75 minutes of GTR action 4 weeks ago,RTFR XL offered somewhat easier combination - our own Catherham replica was raced on it's practically home ground - english track of Rockingham. Qualifying already showed that there won't be a dominating winner,first 8 laps of the race only confirmed it - leading 7 drivers were covered by just 5 seconds,9th lap practically broke the chained train as 2 seperate incidends spread the field out and left few drivers trying to regain their lost positions,leading to rather time gap racing for the rest of the race.

Dzidoris took the lead in 9th lap and gave it away just when he entered pitlane for his mandatory pitstop,he regained lead due pitstop and celebrated his 1st win of the longer RTFR version,becoming 4th different winner of the event,he also picked up his 1st fastest lap of the race and 2nd top5 finish. Camoradi also used the 9th lap to gain positions,which he never gave up due his pace - 2nd place finish for him in finish,improving his previous best result by 1 position,5th top5 finish for the croatian,tying up with Spencer for the lead in this category. Due late pit strategy Rony led for 15 laps before pitting and returning to track in 3rd position for final 2 laps,4th top5 finish for him,R.Kardol missed the qualifying,so he had to start from back of the grid as a wildcard starter,4th position in the results,which is his 2nd entry in top5,J.A.Katila is 5th in final results due his compatriot's penalty,also he is now 2 top5 finishes rich. Something is missing? Yes - pole position was taken by Mikke,which is his 3rd already,but in race he could not create safe gap during his 8 leading laps and due unlucky lag-touch with Dzidoris he spun in lap 9,never was able to come back into race,he finished just laps needed to fulfill 50% distance and retired earning 8th position in final results.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
After 2 months break RTFR XL has a new member in it's Winners club - 3 weeks after he entered the RTFR Winners club. The fun fact is not about the close entry dates but about car - both his wins came from LX4 races,allthough in different conditions.

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
Been a while since last time when the fastest pitstop was made without pitwork,road going cars obviously allows such option - Rony stopped and just waited 10.26s to pass before leaving pitstop,it was the shortest workless pitstop of the race. J.A.Katila had an even quicker pitstop,but he serviced his car with some fuel.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
Plus 3 positions were gained by starting 5th and finishing 2nd - Camoradi is the field rusher of yesterday's race. Also 3 positions gain for R.Kardol,but lower finish position gives him just 2nd best climb.

* HONORABLE MENTION :
After pretty weak qualifying the numbered lad could keep up with the early 7-car group,he run decent pace setting one PB after another,at the end finishing in 5th position,but... Well,9397's pitstop was too short,earning him 16.1 seconds penalty,which threw him out of top5 position. Still 6th position is 5 positions improvement from his previous best finish result - 11th.

In 4 weeks the 75 minutes race will return,currently without information about next combo as the winner had some thoughts about his choice,but never gave the final answer - he still has time until next tuesday for his choice,submittable over PM here. But already next week 30 minutes racing will continue - more info about next RTFR during this weekend.
But Race Green Events activity does not end with RTFR - already in less than 2 weeks the 3rd season of Formula V8 series called V8 Racing League will start it's quite short 4 rounds season. 3 rather short tracks and Westhill's longer configuration is on the menu this year,more information and signups in the VERL 2017 forum thread: https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/91421 Check out and join if interested!

PS. 8 drivers took part in 9th RTFR XL - 7 were already mentioned,one not. Greetings, Mr. Steady,better luck next time!

That was so enjoyable race. Was so satisfied on my race util lap 33 when I messed everything possible in the pits (that happes when you are too excited..) not only I left pits too early but I also accelerated full blast into 2nd gear and got DT penalty. That done I re entered the race in front of Katila wich gave me enough motivation to push hard until finish, and concentrate fully to avoid errors.
10min clip (Bandicam free doesn't allow longer), and I'm sorry the vid is kind of "my race", shooting only myself

* PENALTIES :
RGˆRony - receives 31.07 seconds penalty added to his finish time for minimum pit time violation.
RGˆRony - receives 30 seconds penalty added to his finish time for the pitlane speed limit violation.
B2マ FasT - receives 10 seconds penalty added to his finish time for pitlane exit line violation.

Probably one of the toughest combos was used in the 1st decade closing event - the extended city long course over the unfinished industrial section was tough both physically and also mentally. Drivers had barely time to relax during the 75+ minutes race and tricky and relatively heavy handling RB4 deffinitely raised the stress by another few levels.

A total of 3 (out of 4) previous winners were present at event server during the event,none of them joined the event though,meaning we will have new addition to RTFR-XL Winners club. And the winner is... Fast - he was quickest during track test phase,beating the 2.5 minutes mark for 1 lap around this track. He could not repeat that time during official sessions of the event,but still was the fastest yesterday setting best times in both sessions and winning the race with a big margin - despite his penalty reducing the gap,it's still the biggest margin of victory in RTFR-XL - 1 minute and 48.03 seconds. The first time participant earned his country 2nd win,1st pole position,2nd fastest lap of the race and 3rd top5 finish,putting Lithuania into 2nd place in country success ranking. 2nd place was taken by Altsu,which is 1 place higher than his only other finish position here,2nd top5 finish for him,3rd was D-SIS,who climbed up to 3rd position in his 1st appearance here. Remaining 2 top5 positions were taken by 2 WCL drivers - J.A.Katila was 4th which is his 3rd visit between best 5 of the race,5th was T.Soini,who took a profit from organizers penalties - 2nd top5 finish for him.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
Until this race all winners (except the freshest one) had at least 2 race winning streak,with Fast's win the possible Dzidoris streak is over. But there's another column where the streaks carry on - it was 2nd win in row for Lithuanian drivers,so all the winning nations have at least 2 wins in row.

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
No drivers (except the penalized one) had a work free pitstop,so the clock pitter of the race mention is for someone having actual work on his car - D-SIS stopped for 10.27 seconds receiving just fuel addition.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
He started 13th and during the race erased the figure "1" from the position - D-SIS gained 10 positions during yesterdays race,finishing 3rd.

* HONORABLE MENTION :
Honorable mention goes to the driver,who had all the attributes for finishing 2nd - grid position,pace,stability,but just 1 thing was missing - internet connection. Bitter situation for R.Kardol as he was forced to retire from very possible repeated best finish position.

After 4 weeks we will have a standart configuration again as the winner of 10th RTFR-XL has already selected next combo - the slowest car of LFS will be used in the 1st of LFS's "rovals". UF1 will be raced in Kyoto National configuration,where lapcount will be again 31 as the track best laptime is agsain just under 2.5 minutes. But already next week the standart length RTFR will return,bringing also one of the street cars for action - which one and where you'll find out during the weekend.

Joined the server right after the start and watched race until end. Wow what a thriller it was with all those tyre and damage challenges! I was expecting tyre blows before finish.
My apologies for joining chat during your race. Was silly move and will not happen anymore.

* PENALTIES :
Ring - receives 29.93 seconds penalty added to his finish time for minimum pit time violation.
Nick - receives 10 seconds penalty added to his finish time for pitlane exit line violation.
[LCS-R] Texas - receives a warning for overtaking attempt on oval's apron (outside actual track limits) in lap 1 final oval turn. No penalty this time as the shortcut did not bring any advantage,but further violations will earn penalties.

- - - - - - - - - -

After a tough combo 4 weeks ago,the RTFR XL series changed the racing drastically with relatively very easy combo - the slowest car in a quite fast track. Some said it's boring,some even quit because of that reason,still - racing is racing and battles for positions were still intense.

This was the 3rd race in row,where previous winner (and combo selector) did not join to defend his winners honor,so it was sure that we will have a new winner. And there were not many doubts who will the new one be as R.Kardol was obviously fastest in qualifying and dominated the whole race by leading every single meter of it,setting also fastest lap of the race - all of them are his firsts,but the top5 finish was his 3rd. Best of the rest - Rony,who finished in solid 2nd position repeating his best finish here,5th top5 finish - tied most. 3rd was Spiky,who finished his 1st race here with 2nd attempt,4th - first time participant Texas and top5 was closed up by Adebayor,who despite damaged engine was able to keep at least this position,improvement by 4 positions from his 1st race here 4 weeks ago.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
During first 10 races from all the finishers at least one was lapped - during 11th race it did not happen. None of the 13 race finishers lost a lap to race leader,every single of the finished full nominal race distance. No doubts that the long lap and relatively easy car played a factor for this new record.

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
With tyres and car weight not playing a factor,quite many pitted for required 10 seconds just to fill the requirement. Closest to 10 seconds was [SR] Adebayor,who stopped at the box for 10.13 seconds before moving away from it - he is this race's clock pitter.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
+3 positions might not seem much,but with cars driving with so close speeds,it's hard to make much ground - [LCS-R] Texas gained more positions than anyone else.

* HONORABLE MENTION :
As mostly this mention goes to someone who might be in better position in final results,but for some reason he isn't there - Ring had the pace for sure podium finish,but not the memory for that - according to his own chat message,he forgot about 10 seconds pitstop requirement and earned himself almost half of a minute time penalty,throwing him down to 7th position in final results.

After 4 weeks... Well to be honest,currently is not clear if these will be 4 weeks as due some work obligations organisator might not have time in the evening of 12th december. So the year's final RTFR XL will be either pulled a week forward or pushed a week later - to be announced. Also the car combo still to be decided - R.Kardol has time until next tuesday for that! But no changes with the next normal RTFR - already next week 30 minutes race awaits for racers,combo yet to be decided,more details as always during the weekend.

Pitting rules:

Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop of sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time,which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

The year's final Race Green Events normal race event gathered up a decent crowd,repeating 3rd biggest RTFR XL attendance of 20. Track was very fast with just few slower turns,but some of the trickier turns had their share of victims,resulting in 40% retirement rate.

As the post above confirms,it was already the 4th race where previous winner did not attempt to make a streak at his own chosen combo. Also none of the 6 previous winners attended,meaning 100% chance of new entry in winners club. When looking at pre-race situation,there was 100% (minus microscopic chance of his own error) possibility of certain driver being the new winner - despite few minor mistakes,Sermilan fullfilled the prognoses and celebrated secure victory with a margin of 1 minute over closest rival. In his 1st race in RTFR XL he picked up all the glory by winning the race and setting fastest laptime in both sessions. Intrigue and competition for positions started just with 2nd position - Nick ended up being best of the rest,improving massively his previous best finish - 10th. 3rd in results was wildcard starter Arska,who's previous best result was also 10th. Also for 4th position it was the first visit in top5 - Snoopy improved his best finish by 2 positions,but Jati ended up 5th due 23 second penalty for too short mandatory pitstop,could have been much better 1st finish for him here.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
After checking previous results,it has been confirmed that noone before has managed to get this close to official world record time during the race - Sermilan set the best race laptime just 0.12 shy of current world's best.

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
For some reason Airio did recognise his pitstop during the race,causing some confusion,but at the end stats confirmed - Redbot did the shortest legal pitstop time of 10.23s and is the clock pitter of the race.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
+6 positions was only 2nd best positions gain during this race. The best was another 10 positions better - Arska climbed a total of 16 positions between green and chequered to finish 3rd.

* HONORABLE MENTION :
12 months,12 races during this year. Besides organizer there was another competitor who started every single one of them - "Mr. Steady" T.Soini. He missed qualifying in one race,failed to finish in another though. His teammate J.A.Katila was only other driver to start double figure amount of races this year.

The 2017 is over,but RTFR will continue offer racing also next year. Already in 1st tuesday of the new year there will be the first normal RTFR event,two weeks later another one,while the XL version will take a break and return in 23rd january. But for this year there is still something to race - the 7th annual This is Crashmaaas !!! - an event where you can do stuff forbidden in any other events - smash the opponents! Also the 7th season of All-wheel-drive Winter Series is set to start in 1st sunday of next year - all the details to be finalized and posted in this very forum section.
