should track names be translated or should'nt?

I think track names should not be translated, so it's a "name". If we translate a name, no body will recognize a track when talking/reading people in other languages.
Loving the new patch scawen, as a side note dunno if this is a stupid comment or not but when you use the user camera.. you lose movement on Force Feedback
I don't think you've ever had FFB in user camera.
fantastic stuff, love the way the interface is being streamlined. One suggestion I have along these lines is to remove the exit confirmation once you click to exit LFS - it's pointless. Doesn't exactly take a long time to reload LFS if someone does click it by accident.

In portuguese translations i have a problem. We speek "Dia Claro" ( Clear Day ), but, in translation say "Claro Dia". In other words, time of day and weather.
The same aplies in lenght of the track, ex "circuito 1.5 km" but is show 1.5 km circuit.

I think is complicated to resolve?

I think if I'm right Vagner is trying to say the translation needs the word order changed round from "Claro Dia" to "Dia Claro" as well as the circuit.

Vagner, your english was pretty good - well done :-) if you want to post a list of what you have found in an order like:

Looking in translation tab, the message is displayed:

when in portuguese will be:
3g_dt_* + 3g_wth_*

In the pit stop is more complicated. Ex:
3g_capsxdam %s DAMAGE

When is NINOR or MAJOR is ok (PEQUENOS/GRANDES DANOS), but for FRONT, REAR, LEFT, RIGHT, etc, we need:
DAMAGE OF %s
or in portuguese:
DANOS DA FRENTE, TRASEIRA, ESQUERDA, DIREITA, etc.

Yes, portuguese is complicated.
The new track menu is very cool... but there is a really horrible Estonian translation with the patch because of me... Please include new version of Estonian translation in the new patch.

EDIT: Vagner, I see you're having big troubles with the pitstop, too .
1) where is 3a_hli_wron used? I wrote the same message as in 3a_wrngwcap, but LFS reports "line too long".

2) if you are going to use for any purpose "north", "south","east", "west" as nouns, please, make another string for "north" in "Aston North".

In many languages they'll be different words. You can't play with words like bricks in many synthetic languages, we can put them in any order and play with smaller bricks - prefixes, suffixes and terminations.

Scawen, are you going to make a changing weather? I know it will be in an incompatible patch, but I beg you, make changing temperature and continuous wind (not discrete as now).

Well, I had problems similar to Vagner's: minor/major comes before the noun, adverbal modifier of place (left/right/front/rear) goes after. I minimized the bad style issue using "DAMAGE (%s)", so left/right/rear/front showed ok, "Damage (minor)" is a roundabout way, because literally "damage minor" looks bureaucratic. I've failed to find a sensible substitute that would be grammatically 100% correct and look like human speech (not robot).

I decided to create seperate LFS installation just for this test purposes.
What to say Scawen.It couldnt be better .The reverse driving fix is excelent and the roll function is something I have been waiting for ages...Its almost like christams present in the hot summer.

I have some comment regarding Roll function. Whilest is possible to use this cool feature in SHIFT+U mode there is no chance to use it in View/Custom view mode.There are still just 2 posibilitis to roll the camera.Would be possible to add it there as well.I guess it shouldnt be big problem for you if you already get working roll in SHIFT+U mode.

Also is there possibility to roll the camera with some key combination?If not, what about to add it under mouse wheel?

I really like the new track selection mode.Looks more proffesional. I am just thinking where you would put another track...

I really like the track selection menu. Very nice! Also, the roll in TV Cam view is absolutely exquisite, saves loads of time in post-production and it's easily adjustable. A reset button to the default TV view would be good so you can reset it quicker. But still, top patch!
That track selection screen is awesome! Hope it stays that way!

It happens if you are out of memory on the card. It would come up when you try to draw a shadow, having not drawn one for a while.

If you are using excessively large skies (e.g. 4096x4096 provide by Don - then that is probably the cause. You should never use a sky larger than 2048x2048, even if your graphics card has a lot of memory). The skies do not use compressed textures.

I hate camera rolling, especially in motion. If a picture is poor when straight, rolling adds nothing.

LFS rolling camera made me feel seasick. There must be a warning.
