Carsten Hörenbaum of spdo Racing has won the first race of the OWRL F1 2009 in Aston in front of Dave Southword (Sonicrealms Racing) and Nelson Marques, driver of SpeedCore Racing. Constant driving combined with well-timed pitstops gave him the upper hand on this fast track, but things didn’t look quite well during the race.
Before the race two qualifying sessions were held and it was very close around the 10th position that gives access to the second part.
After five out of six races this season, the first of the two championships in OWRL S2 Season 14 has been decided. At Fern Bay Club rev Cali extended his championship lead by enough. He did it in style as he won both the sprint and main race!

GT1 It seems that for a second year in a row we can prepare ourselves for an epic championship battle in the GT1 class. With only 1 point difference between #low racing and F1RST Racing GT1, the question of which team will crown themselves Masters of Endurance GT1 Champions for the 2008/2009 Season is far from decided. In future we expect to have the videos available within the week to begin with, and hopefully a little quicker once a rhythm is formed as these are my first attempts at video creation/editing. We'll also include a link to the video in future round reports once the vids are available.

Prior to the season we organized two test races to see if we may forbid traction control but the admins decided to stick with 2008 rules and to allow traction control. One of many reasons was that the car was built to have it and to keep it real, we decided to leave things as they are. However we enforced a new rule that we use now realnames in the OWRL F1.
The first Race is over. With 20 Racer's the qualification has startet. Riddi showed that he hasn't choosen the number one without reason, with three tenths in front of n!krfm he set the poleposition. The other times and positions can be looked up here.
