If you want all your setting set to max. then you must set "disble trees, rubber and flags" to OFF.
Also you should set "simple Track" to OFF.

The cars also jump when they stand still! So it can't be a setup-thing!

Yes, you have to unlock the game again after installing the patch. You also have to unlock the game again if you change something on your hardware. Thats how it works. Search this forum. You will find a lot of threads.

And no, you cannot live without the patch! You will not find that much servers hosting the old version. So you can't play online anymore.

For all the guys that don't receive hosts that are running the new patch:

Set the version-Flag in your URL to 1.2 then it works fine.

As we all know there will come a patch that includes changes in the physics engine.

I've read some time ago in this forum that in the replay-files the physics-data is stored and thats also the reason why you cannot rewind when watching a replay.

Will the replays of today still work with the new patch?

My guess for the surprise is a "Reverse-Button" and/or a slider for the replays!

That would just be great! Oh my god I'm getting horny thinking of it!

There are a few friends of mine which like to play racing games and I always have a copy of LfS and my wheel with me when I visit them.
I unlock the game on his computer, we play and when I leave I lock it again.

So I lose one unlock every time I play on one of my friends PC. Is that right?

How about getting 1 unlock back if you lock the game again?

Drive fast and clean on the team-servers and they will beg you to join them!

For training I setup my own server and make a 60 min. qualification or a long run (50 laps and more).
One of the many advantages: You can watch your laptimes after race in lfsworld.

This way you have all the online-functionality of the game AND statistics how good (or bad) you were.

Anybody recognized that the "Connecting to Server" Screen is now in a Window and not in Fullscreen anymore? All other LfS Screens are Fullscreen. Just this one is not.

Well, I don't care so much because it doesn't cause any troubles. Just wondering if it's only me...

I don't think this will work.

As I said above, i burned my LfS-Directory on CD and copied it onto the computers of my friends but the game was always locked and I had to unlock it.

Edit: But maybe it works on the same PC where you made the backup...

I think the Password and Account-Name in the Lock/Unlock Screen should be set to empty when locking the game back to demo-version.

I take LfS and my wheel with me when I visit my friends. I copy my LfS-Version and unlock it with my account. We all have a great time and when I leave i lock the game to demo-mode. AND I have to clear Username and Password.

And how can i tell the LfS.exe to connect directly to a demo-server?
If my LfS is set to Demo or S1 and I start it with a S2-server I get the Message "wrong Version"

Is there another parameter für lfs.exe?
