I too happen to own one(ultimate x86) and i have to say this before you make the biggest mistake in choosing the right hardware if you wanna run vista. You need more than 2/3 GB ram and faster C2D cpu and DX10 gfx card is a must. Drivers aren't and issue now and your g25 or any logitech wheel is gonna run without hiccups. And finally its about choosing the right flavour. Get ultimate if you can and get x64 btw its no difference if you get x86 or x86-64 because if you dont have 64 bit apps; it's useless to have 64 bt for that. im hearing jakg's typing with his kb right about now.
i do have faster ram ddr2 667 2gb is enough and i have *cough*Pentium D920*cough* and x1650 pro and i see no difference when i tried the x64 ultimate and rendering with 3ds max and x32 which took the same amount of time then m$oft is ripping us off by selling x64 versions then and P.S the ultimate she bought is retail and no upgrade dvd
Well I just Upgraded to Vista Ultimate from Home Premium which is a gift from my sister but she bought a 32 BIT edition not 64 which was my home premium one; but the thing is I don't see any difference whether playing LFS or rendering with 3ds max i can't seem to find any difference between so whats the difference between x86 and x86-64? talk me out of it before i switch back to home premium or XP
just make a new partition to install vista and install vista boot pro to remove the annoying vista boot manager after you delete vista which you eventually will and i use xp most of the time rather that vista because 3ds max acts wierd in vista
