There are two different skip series IRL. One is run on slicks so it may be that the vid is of that one. Your observations however are correct, racing the skip quickly is a drift fest & tho not realistic it is a lot of fun.
DK has been working on his new tyre model almost as long as Scawen if not longer, so when it comes it will be good.
minjrack if you havent tried the skip yet your missing one of the best cars in iRacing.
This is the 2nd time they have done this that we are aware of. What is the devs problem?
They host promotional events yet dont tell anybody??? This is downright rude & .. to the community. Why is this some sort of secret??
A promotion is a promotion you spread the word get the product out there everyones a winner. I really do not understand them at all?? Two members of my family have thier cars insured with Adrian Flux & we live about 70 minutes from the track. I am sure that there are many LFS S2 racers who live a lot nearer.
Thanks for the feedback. I was recomeneded Black Shark but im not into flight sims enough to blow $40 on it.
So you are saying Falcon is good but for dogfighting Lockon FC2 is a better bet?
On the subject of flights sims. Can somebody recommend one for me.
I'm not really looking for uber realistic, i still havent got into IL2.
I used to enjoy flying the choppers in BFV & BF2 so are there any sims set in a similar environment but with a bit more detail put into the air combat.
I'm looking for something thats fun online & also has a mission based single player in a Black Hawk down kind of setting or Vietnam jungle.
I've read that some guys are creating a BFV mod for BF2 which is the best news i heard since iRacing announced the mx5 .
So in Canada you have large marijana plantations kind of like "the beach" except yours are guarded by Bears instead of armed henchmen??
Interesting, can you keep a black bear as a pet?
John Henry has confirmed that iRacing will break even very soon.
Concidering they only opened thier doors 2008 looks like success.
Hopefuly it will become more affordable once they are in the green.
The biggest nail in the coffin for LFS in the states is your home grown iRacing & to a larger extent Rfactor. The amount of people over there that have never seen or heard of LFS amazes me, its almost as if it does not exist.
They might benefit from selling boxed copies but LFS is such a niche market everything else on the shelf is gona look more impressive. Saying that, they could go in at a much lower price point such as a boxed copy of S1. Another big selling point is that its an old engine that still runs on much older systems so they can appeal to a much wider (low spec) audience.
As for the restriction issue i would be in favour of all demo accounts being cancelled automoticaly after 12months. It's a tough call & you could argue what harm are they doing? If they play it a lot then they are only restricting themselfs from enjoying the full game.
Those that hack/crack the full content should all be sent NASTY viruses.
Thanks for the advice guys, i was looking for something to do a few liesure rides on. maybe trying a competition if i get motivated enough to get bike fit.
Definately looking at used stuff. only issue is, im taller than average so every time i see one i like its usualy the wrong size. sods law.
