We had the Queen here (without it being a horse race). No one was running around in a black hoodie with a bat and screaming, because that person would be felled by a bullet within 25 meters of her.
I live in a very large city (Elliot Lake ON), not by population, by the lack of it.
It took 2 murders in all of 2001 to make us the number one City in Canada to have the most murders. ( Area vs Population)
I think of my Country as: If you're down we'll help yah up, if however you come up swinging...we'll let go of you.
I would like to point out, Even though our (Canada's) recent handling of the G20 may not have been good, NO ONE DIED!
That's another great part of Canada, we come to defend and befriend.

P.S. If we didn't matter, we wouldn't be on Google.ca
P.S.S never count us out ( That's for all the FIFA FANS another 30 days of vuvuhella)
Kudos to the Calm protesters who tried to intervene to stop some of the senseless cost to local business. When you consider how many cultures are parting it up at world cup events in Toronto...with little or no problems...you have to wonder how many of the problem children came from somewhere other than Toronto.
The cops drew a line and didn't over react in most cases, this to shall pass.
Lets hope calmer heads prevail and no one ends up in to bad of a way.
I for one, miss some rally events. Also I really miss the Skills competition that kept us busy in the off season, maybe the staff could find the time to post a layout for mid July.
Be well and have a great break, but don't forget to come back for more great racing next Season.
My Apology to S,VOLODOV for telling you to "Bite Me" after that unfortunate collision that caused me to roll, it's not in my nature to be so harsh, hope you will accept this as my apology.
Think back to when you were 11 and barely mature enough to ride a bike, much less drive a car. Now, think back to when you were 11 years ago. Shoot, you've probably still got stuff on your to-do list that dates back that far. Get ready to feel old, very old.Ferrari has accepted Lance Stroll, a barely-a-decade-old kid from Montreal, Canada, to its prestigious drivers' academy. Stroll, the youngest-ever recruit, is a two-time Canadian national champion in the Rotax Mini Max division.
"We are pleased to welcome Lance to our group," said Luca Baldisserri (must...resist...Luca Brasi...joke), the director of the Ferrari Driving Academy. "He is very young, but he has already shown in karting that he is exceptionally talented. We will follow him step by step in his forthcoming events in North America and he will soon also take part in our courses at Maranello."
Stroll has already received nominations from the Federation Sport Automobile du Quebec as Rookie of the Year in 2008 and Driver of the Year in 2009.
Oh, and he was born in 1998. You know, the year "Seinfeld" ended and Dale Earnhardt finally won the Daytona 500. Yeah, then. Sheesh. Somebody get my cane for me.
