Apparently there's a new one going on.

Good job on not posting a new thread this year!

Finally!

There shouldn't be a reason not to make such a computer, since computers with such specs were fine years ago.
I mean, phones these days have the specs to run Xbox games.
Why wouldn't there be a way to make a pc which runs simpler applications with more or less the same size?

You should make a cross-eyed-3d screenshot. That should help.

I always seem to be full instead of drunk.
I can't drink more, because I'm not thirsty, not because I'm drunk.
Although one time I started at 5PM, holy crap that was a good evening.

Quote from Snake2 :Well then, anyone moving over to the 360 after this?

I know im strongly considering it! Sony are going to take a while to recover from this, just think about the Knock-on effect it's going to have.

EDIT:
I can imagine the big time players over at Microsoft loving all this...

From a PS3 to a 360 looks like a downgrade.
Just upgrade your PC and you'll be fine.

Quote from AndRand :I got nice one for you:
get a number from 0 to 1 as x, calculate 2*x-1, then take result as x and calculate again... and again... and couple of times... and you get random number generator

That is exactly what is not a random number generator

There is a bad thing about retro cars.
The thing is, the original was good for a reason: Practical, good looking, cheap and easy to fix.
The only thing they have in common is that they are good looking, and somewhat practical.
But they aren't the same as the real thing was in its day.

Meh, why didn't they design a baby beetle, like the normal one?
This looks more like a truck than a car to me.

Great drive by RBR as well as Mclaren.
Though, what will happen to Alonso, he used his DRS when he shouldn't.

Quote from Furiously-Fast :Along with improved collisons, there should be parts that can break off in a crash, like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i79PMxpAHAo

Not now of course. Scawen should concentrate on this patch first, then the tyre physics, then make this a part of S3.

Nice, but if you crash the car, it must deform much more too.

a = f / (f-n)
a(f-n)=f
af-an=f
af-f=an
f(a-1)=an
f=an/(a-1)

Quote from Senninha25 :I have a problem with pedal configuration...My G25's throttle/brake pedals (set as combined in the game) seem to be "zeroed-out" whenever I start LFS, switch to it from other windows or change between full screen/window mode and I have to floor both pedals (without resorting to the options > controls menu) to recalibrate them.
This has been happening ever since I started using Windows 7 (Ultimate), so I don't know if this is caused by the OS' permissions bug or LFS has a bug that just "forgets" my pedals' axis' values everytime I minimize LFS/move to another window.

Have you done a hard calibration in LFS yet?

Quote from Juzaa :Way to go mate. Just trash his set and don't even offer any advice or help. Hope you ego got a big boost from that.

There are a couple of different ways just to reduce understeer.
It doesn't just mean his set should be thrown out.

Quote from BlueFlame :Yea, I wouldn't mind just spectating the car being driven, as long as the sounds are good and the animations aren't like C&C turning on a dime, will it be possible to impliment manual throttle control for engine testing though? And will there be engine sounds ? If so, will they be specificly individual to the engine format?

There are some engine sounds recorded from a miata.
It may sound okay, but I'd rather have informative/calculated sounds.

Quote from JazzOn :Mini oval has been mentioned... basically drivable but no starting grid

@ Paws, don't think type physics will ever change xP

PS. btw awesome news ^^ scavier

Just start at a close starting point nearby and put the checkpoints inside the oval. (or will it not work that way?

Quote from Scawen :
FIX : Improved collisions with unmovable objects (red barriers)

Thanks for the update, I can't wait!

However, when you say 'improved collisions', does that mean the red barriers are still unmovable, or will they become movable too?

EDIT: Finally a REAL topic about an upcoming patch!

Quote from Furiously-Fast :What's up with the hiding FBM on the lake circuit? (0:37)

Probably the maker of this movie started in a FBM and parked it.
Then press shift+U start scrolling through the track and show it.

I'm not really a hotlapper, so my r2's are gone after 4 laps.
It's probably because I'm a tad agressive on the brakes and pushing the tyres over the limit in corners.

You seem to do a heck of a good job there though, I see my temps rising to 140, then I can't take corners without sliding, thus pushing the tyres up to 190-200 degrees.

I have to say that I dislike the immense tyre temperature rise after a spin, and just the IMMENSE lack of grip at high temperature.
