Well, away from official races unless you have a) practised and b) qualified decently. You can gain decent SR and iRating if you stay out of trouble by qualifying up front and staying out of trouble, or if you don't race, 30m quali sessions are useful for SR. But yeah, maybe stick to the unofficial series this week.
You can now play with a mouse or touch screen in the actual version.
If you got to A 0.xx then you would be automatically demoted to B 1.xx, and if you were still B 1.xx at the end of week 13 you would then be demoted to C 2.xx.
But your post displays a fundamental misunderstanding of the SR system. It is based on corners per incident for the past xx corners (can't remember if it's 1600 or 2000), so if you lose your B licence because you've been getting lots of incidents, as soon as you become a cleaner driver your SR will go back up again. And assuming you've met your MPR, you will be promoted back to class A again. So in other words, shut up and drive, only worry about your SR if you're close to getting demoted or you want to be promoted.
Looks fine to me, do you have an example? Though of course, iRacing is one step ahead of LFS in that you can rejoin and it'll remember the laps you've done.
Oh yeah because you got a 4x at the start it meant you lost your class A licence and you couldn't drive in a class B series anymore? The great thing is we can all see your stats, and see you got 12 incidents in your last race, most of which came from you going off track or losing control.
But if your biggest complaint is with the SR system, then iRacing can't be that bad. For christ sake I have over 7 inc/race this year, yet I still have a B 3.0 licence
What happens if LFSworld's skins feature is down (iirc something like that happened when the temp master server was up)? Is no one allowed to join the track?
In case you were unaware of why you were given the penalty for ignoring yellow flags, here's a couple of pictures.
No one said anything about turtle speed, but when you have no one behind you, do you not think it would be a good idea to slow down instead of crashing into people and causing a red flag?
Of course, if you have a problem with the decision, you have 48 hours to appeal it.
Honourable mention for the British GT race at Brands Hatch with its epic finish, can't find any footage of it on youtube, you can get it from RFM though.
F1 was also excellent this year, WEC, BTCC were good in patches, looking forward to 2013!
Road America is a great track to have, and then you have to look at what cars/series you're going to be running and get something that's used in a lots of them - e.g. Silverstone, Mosport, Mid Ohio, Zandvoort, etc.
