Because they have a Ferrari 458 GTE and the updated Silverstone? iRacing have said they could have signed with Ferrari already but decided to spent their money elsewhere as the licences were expensive, and the updated Silverstone has already been scanned.
I've always thought 2.1.2 in the sporting code was the most ignored rule in there - you were conducting yourself as you would in parc ferme or back in the paddock after the race, having a chat with other drivers about the standards of officiating
Hmm, the guy had left before you even said anything, I don't recall you calling him a noob - trying to remember who was left on the server when you said it...
Exactly, the rules say no chatting during the race and chatting will results in a penalty.
They also say always obey the admins and "Basically what the admin(s) say goes".
So why would a driver question something from the admins, just a few corners before restarting? But it's good to know you admit your restart rules, which have been there for at least one season, are poorly written - just a shame you decided to rewrite them in the middle of a race.
I'd love to know what the rules actually mean, because they make no sense at all:
If you may "accelerate speed" then how can you also say maintain speed? Or are you supposed to maintain a speed until the green flag, having set a speed that is not below SC speed? At what point does this rule come into affect - what is the definition of the SC "pull off"?
Again, what does this mean? The first part refers back to the rules above with are ambiguous or could even mean once the SC pulls away, the second part was introduced halfway through a race. Which bit are you supposed to follow?
And how can you allow the restart on lap 5 to be legal, when a) the SC was still on the track, b) the lead car was not maintaining any sort of pace before the green flag?
There's a reason why the NDR SC rules are a couple of pages long (and similar to the FIA rules) instead of a paragraph of nonsense, so this kind of shit doesn't happen.
I saw the guy on the inside make a big dive so I gave him room expecting him to run wide, the guy behind me kinda followed me wide and then he was hit up the back, which hit me off. I did manage to get back to 3rd, before spinning in the slow left handers and then getting collected.
Which turn was it where the HPD did this? Looking at the results he had a 5-6s lead, any sensible person would lost a little bit of time instead of hitting another car...
Actually iRacing added mouse and touch support so that you can click/select UI elements while in car, so if you've already done that then it's not much work to add native mouse/touch controls. You've been able to use gamepads since 2009 and if you really wanted to I'm sure you could also use a mouse with joy2key or whatever it is.
Well when you're the last placed HPD driver, 10 seconds off anyone else and not quick enough to make the time back up, do you think you should interfere with the GT lead battle?
Just realised your location says Kirkcaldy and that the pictures were taken down the prom! Keep walking past Seafield, through Kinghorn and you'd get to me in Burntisland
There you have it ladies and gentlemen, it's just bad luck if you are caught up in Niki's instinctive behaviour, which puts his own self-interest above all others. BTW, Hamilton was penalised for his rejoin in Hungary.
Please show me the quote where CSF says you were on probation, because I can't find it. But I'd be interested to know what difference probation would make to you, given you're apparently only relying on instincts.
If anyone (apart from Niki) thinks that disqualification of a driver (not the team) for avoidable contact and then an attempted revenge wreck is too harsh, please tell us.
