Bought it... and... first impression is awesome, but after a while i have a strange feeling that mouse is lagging.... but it might because the bigger screen... maybe i will get used to it .
Edit. I've got it connected through D-sub port .... hmm... i'm starting to get used to it... ...
Edit. 37 inch LCD rocks ... I've used to it .
Edit. Maybe not exactly... there might be around 20-30ms of input lag.... :|... in racing it doesn't matter, there is bigger problem in fps games :|.
Edit. It's not that annoying now... i've used to it... propably...
I'm going to buy LCD TV for my PC to play games(LFS ), and watch films on the couch . Is anyone using LCD TV for PC gaming, and how does it work? Are You satisfied? Is 50HZ a problem? I played LFS with FPS limited to 50 and i didn't notice anything annoying. What about this LCD TVs in thread title? Especially A551 and A615... which is cheaper than A551, what's the secret? Anyone has any other propositions about any other LCD around similar price range?
Ok got it ^^... but I can already imagine people saying that those cars "are unrealistically tail-happy" (some people are already saying that ). Now i'm really curious what changes we will get , and how will they feel .
Yeah, i wouldn't say they are working on physics engine, they are experimenting. It might or might not work. I'm just suprised that Scawen is keeping it a secret, yet Victor is not.... ... i hope they are not going to fight with each other . Oh... and "The Car traction (grip) on Tracks will be more better with less understeering"... yyy... we have too much understeer now?
Test on Intel Pentium M 1,73GHz, Radeon X600 SE(64MB) and 1 GB RAM, Win XP(max. details, 2AA, 16AF). South City, 20 XRTs on test or standard shadows using tv camera i get around 7,8fps,
but when i change to chase cam behind the first car, then the difference is bigger: test shadows: 21.1 fps, normal shadows: 20.3 fps.
You all need to notice that FWD cars in LFS have rather... "neutral" weight distribution compared to real life FWD. Most FWDs have easly over 60% of weight on the front tires, while in LFS the UF1 has just 59% of weight on the front, while FXO has just 57%. VWS will have proper wieght distribution finally ;P... You could try VWS'ish setup in my link below ... open diff is not that bothering .
If you are fan of racing, it is definitly worth 24 pounds, i've been playing demo since 2004, S2 since 2007(credit card issues ) and i'm still enjoying it .
