Nice to see how they've floated around the corners .

Quote from geeman1 :It's like it is now to encourage people to use the most realistic mode for racing. The mode where you can reset is mainly meant for practicing. Basically the devs want this game to have realistic-as-possible mode for racing and another mode for practicing, nothing in between.

Good choice in my opinion. Having a middle ground would most likely mean that most servers would use it instead of the most realistic option. Sometimes you just have to shove people to the right way, otherwise they will go where the fence is the lowest.

.... but what about MRT? It's lack of reverse is annoying, and in real life I could(propably? ^^) get out and push it a little . Now in LFS it also repairs damage :/.

Quote from Rauen :It's now proven: IT IS Realtek related bug.

I also have Realtek HD and i don't have any problems. Indeed it must be something with Your settings .

Quote from kamkorPL :...

I have to agree with kamkorPL. One of the huge advantage of LFS are the setup options. The possibility to create car which behaves in a way a anybody likes, or to create a car which tries to replicate a real-life one, or to simply learn the basics of vehicle dynamics is really great in LFS. What I would like Scawen to make is something like this:
http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=1183373#post1183373
(yeah i know, it was wrong topic ). If he will implement such a feature in the future, i would like him to add a little more options to the setup department. In such a way, both camps would be satisfied . Btw. I'm not a drifter ... i just love to play with setups .

Read HIS POSTS, You will see why he isn't saying such things. Btw. This thread needs cleaning(again ^^)!

Edit. Although it is not good thread to post this(and i'm sorry for posting this ^^)... Scawen, for the future , if You will ever consider to force limited setups on ALL cars, please don't do it ^^. Do something similar like IRacing , two types of setups(one limited, and one like today, with full freedom[it's so much fun to play with all the options, and people can also learn a lot about car behaviour, or create imitating real-life cars setups]). An admin could force one setup on the server(like rookie setups only, or adv. setups only etc).

And here's just an example . Again sorry for posting on this thread . It would be good for both "camps" .

Quote from bmwracer67 :I know. That feels so unrealistic

Mate, it's ALL ABOUT THE SETUP. I don't know how real life fwd cars with locked diffs behave, but with open, or with lsd, they are pretty close.

It also depends on differencial and suspension settings. Try open diff at the front, it will turn in much better... oh and most hotlap/race setups are using locked diffs, which create huge undesteer when You are going off the throttle, and massive oversteer when You are accelerating at the exit of the corner .

Edit: Here's mine road going setup , try it .

Guys, guys, guys... remember one thing! Some of You want to get rid of cruise server, isn't it a little bit selfish(You don't like it, but other people like it!)? I mean, cruising, drifting, racing(and destruction derby, drag racing etc etc etc), all of them are advantages to LFS. Drifting thanks to great physics, and cruising thanks to great insim. Getting rid of cruising is like getting rid of potential customers! Remember, that some of those cruisers are not always on cruise servers! Some of them might go racing from time to time, but getting rid of cruise servers will get rid of those people! Yeah sure... LFS is a "racing sim"... but getting rid of cruise servers won't help that(much ). It will make some people leave LFS(for which cruising is one of the most important factor of LFS), and for the future potential cruisers(=customers) LFS will loose all it's appeal(which in the future might change to pure racing ). Although i have to agree that sometimes i am terrified that the most populated servers are cruise servers... i have to remember that some of those people also enjoy racing from time to time. Oh and If some of You think that racing is dead, join a league! There are plently of racing in the evening in the private servers! Btw. I have some friends to whom i've shown LFS. They were rather bad in racing(no experience), but they considered cruising factor a really interesting idea! What's more, they would be able to learn to race online, without destroying other's people races.

Oh and personally i will miss LC , i was a cadet there . I wasn't playing there much, but it was fun from time to time to relax and just.. chase other people .

Anybody got any track-day video of a typical american car from early 80's? I've always wanted to see how such a car would drive in track-day conditions (i know it will be propably crap... but driving crap is a challenge! ).

You could add some more options , couse simple no/yes is not enought. Personally I believe that there... should be something more, but i wouldn't blindly vote yes or no... i voted yes... because I believe that there is SOMETHING.... but I have no bloody idea what exacly it might be.

Everything works great here . Unlocked my LFS X10(without-using-crack) and ran Your exe. REALLY interesting to drive ^^. Hope Scawen will put NASCAR car(and smaller oval) to LFS sometime .
