Devs... just look on the bright side of life . Of course I am a little sad that VW will be later but I totally understand how unpredictable future can be. I'm sure that Scawen was quite happy that he could realese VW now but after realesing Test Patches he discovered some unpredictable problems. Yeah... guys... We propably could have VW in December... but only if "Scavier" team would work through the Christmas and New Year Eve... would You like them to work so hard and not spending time with their families? I would not. Scawen, Eric, Victor happy christmas to You and Your families! Take care .

Edit. Progress of LFS may be slow... but is stable and that counts!

ATI X2 4850 Crossfire
8.12 driver version

Maybe try disable cf mode. I've got single HD4870 with 8.12 drivers and no shadow problem.

Quote from Flame CZE :For those who are interested in ABS in LFS I made little ABS test with XRG. Speed: 80 kph.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEjodhr-Mjc&fmt=22

With ABS, the brake distance is a little bit longer

Also tried 1500NM on XRG on autocross... from ~105Km/h around 42,5 meter with ABS, without under 40 meters!

Lol... another club? ^^ That's starting to be funny . Seriously... so we've got club for people who are happy that LFS is getting more realistic, now club for people who loves the idea of LFS getting more beautiful... and then what? I mean... LFS is great... yeah sure ^^... but there are to many people with huge erections everytime something minor happens... Scawen... pls... don't realise VW yet... i'm afraid that some forum-members are going to get heart attack! (well... at least they've paid for the game :razz

Edit. Oh and... yeah... i'm in. But sentence "LFS is getting more beautiful" is rather to much ... it's too early too say that (when all the cars will be updated then i might FULLY join).

Quote from XmaX :The rotating brake discs are a good idea, but you dont see them rotate because there are only a grey circle, maybe you can add some holes in the discs to see they are rotate or something...

sorry for bad english

Greetings from germany, Max

There are dds files with brake discs with holes in it, just search LFS Databse . Yeah the reaction of ABS could be a bit slower ... although i have to say that a like the idea of abs.

Edit. It has to be something with Your drivers... or graphic card maybe. I don't have such a problem on BW or any other track(Radeon HD4800, 8.12 ati drivers.):

So we're going to get ABS O.o... ohh.... i can already imagine all that fuzz made by those "in-racing-there-is-no-abs-and-no-helping-aids" fans .

Edit. ABS working great . Looks real ^^.Shadows nicer and wheels... emm.. i mean all that stuff about wheels... umm... yeah better... whatever ^^. Good that You did wrote about "no VW" :P

Quote from gezmoor :I haven't read the whole thread so appologies if this has already been posted.

Firstly, thanks for the new car, looks really nice.

My question is this though. Given that this is the first "real" car in LFS how will the sets work with this car? I would hope that they are essentially fixed and have no adjustments past things like TC on/off, tyre pressures/choices and amount of fuel. I really think going through all the time and trouble to code physics of this car with its stability system, TC, etc would be a complete waste if someone can come along and change it's handling to something completely impossible for the real world car.

So I'm hoping that there will be little to no adjustability in the set up of this car. ie no gearing changes, no steering changes, no camber changes, no ride height changes etc. Sure that'll probably mean that the cars handling won't suit everybodies driving style but IMO if LFS wants to really present itself as a realistic driving sim these things have to be exactly like on the real car with no option for changing them except in ways that would be possible on a production road car (ie practically none).

Not really... I mean all great... but after a month there will be a lot of noise about the car being boring. Oh... and behaviour not possible in "real world car"... what kind of behaviour? O.o I mean... it doesn't fly? o.O Sure... i am not car-physics god or someone... not even close :P, but the problem is not in car setups but simply in tire physics.

Sry for offtop.

First of all... it WILL be in LFS... i doubt that it will be in demo. Scawen said over 3-4 months ago that it will take some(long) time.... well... it depends if some is 3-4 months . Yeah... Christmas present would be awesome but... what can we do ^^. Just wait. Oh.. yeah... i suppose that Scawen would like also to include upgraded damage, interiors and other stuff in this patch to finnaly get to S2 Beta . So I'm not to sure about Christmas present.

Guys calm down ... at least i suppose demo of LFS is better than "demo" of IRacing in Shadowww's eyes.

Why did I choose LFS? Well... i was bored of cracking . Nah... seriously? ... ok... well... that was serious....

... oh and i wanted to try online game finally... and ... Bob's mythical tweak supposed to be released around the time I bought LFS :P... well.. it wasn't, and I still don't regreat buying LFS ^^. Great sim ... ohhh... and I love the physics, i've learned a lot about cars thx to LFS(diffs, gears, suspension etc etc etc). I've been playing LFS since... early S1 version i suppose... cracking it all the time... omg... yeah... I was a sinner .

Well... i've got rather uniqe problem. My GTA works TOO BLOODY FAST :P. Motion of every object is at least a couple of times faster than it should be ;p. Great -_-. I've got Radeon HD4870 1GB and Core 2 Duo 3,33Ghz and it works fine on max... around... 30-35fps ^^.

Quote from G. Dierckx :Why would people want to drive American cars? They are only "good" at straight lines...

As somebody already said... driving "perfect" cars would be boring so please no no no for anything like "it doesn't drive"... it's a challenge and at least it wont be boring! Btw. Plently of American cars can drive nowadays!

Agree, there were similar voices that those two formulas are similar, yet when they've been implemented they were both a lof of fun and rather different to drive!
