Quote from th84 :Yea, it kinda suck's... the only time i can do one is the same time that i can do the other. If i ever had to choose one or the other... i would surely mis seeing you fella's online.

That is kinda depressing though... almost the same join date, but twice the distance. I gotta get a life.

But you have far less posts, so all is forgiven.

Quote from tristancliffe :I'm never offended (not on here anyway, you're all too lovely and huggable )

He's lying... Women like him always get offended. For instance when I turned him down at the karting he threw a big strop...

Quote from tristancliffe :I might be interested.

I have a silly voice, and I can barely string a sentence together, and I am complete introvert, but you can count me in as a maybe at this stage.

^^ might not be true, you'd have to ask people who have met me.

Can't decide whether to PM you or not

If an introvert means a constant piss-taker, then yeah he is......

Quote from ayrton senna 87 :drive fast

Lol!

Leprekaun, the best way at the moment is to find some obscure combo.

There are no tricks, it's all down to practice and talent.

Another thing I've noticed is how when I press mark all read, it doesn't do it?

Quote from Smax : BTW I was proper impressed with Will's 1.02 which he claimed was with a mouse, I did spec him and it looked like a digital throttle to me so I guess he was telling the truth. I couldn't do better than 1:07 so I clearly need to stfu and go stand in the slow noobs corner.

Yeah he uses a mouse, which I watched first hand before Sunday's after LFS meet karting.

It's pretty impressive!

Quote from Nick_ll :Then maybe there could be a thing that turns off collisions on wrecked cars? That way, when someone has a broken car and is trying to go back to the pits if he looses control of the thing (or tries to put it in the middle of the road intentionally), everyone would go through the car.

However good your intentions, I'd be gutted if that was implemented.

The game is a racing simulator, and no matter what it should stay true to it's roots. Drive through cars, wouldn't fit this ideal.

Quote :SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- North Korea would respond to a pre-emptive U.S. military attack with an "annihilating strike and a nuclear war," the state-run media has said, heightening anti-U.S. rhetoric amid close scrutiny of its missile program.

A taster of the above link, for those too lazy to click it.

Quote :Meanwhile, a South Korean government official said Seoul is considering buying U.S. shipborne SM-2 missiles to bolster its missile-defense system.

I don't blame them!

I had this lying about in my bookmarks, I thought some of you may find it interesting. A insight into the real North Korea with photos that usually are confiscated.

Quote from K.David :But we wouldn't need to post in the to-do list It should be a closed thread that the devs edit whenever necessary. Everyone could read it and have their thoughts posted in another thread (if posted at all)

I think you are missing what I'm trying to say. If we sticky the "to-do" list people have mentioned, people are still likely not to read it and post repeated rubbish in the threads anyway!

People don't read stickies, which an improvements to do list would most likely be. It's a common problem throughout all forums.

Post a sticky saying, "please read before posting" , and this often has the opposite effect.

Quote from Gunn :No decisions have been finalised. Members comments are being considered.

Oh Gunn, you are competent at this moderating lark aren't you, hehe!

Better to ask than to presume.

I get the feeling that the beta team idea has been scrapped with the emergence of the moderated test forum?

Maybe?

There is still some basic info here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_for_Speed

But I take it the LFS Wiki was substantially different. I never got to see it I don't think.

Quote from duke_toaster :If there were 2 or three other moderators (not Admins, mods) that would help the devs.

As for a set group of people with test patches, I think that having, say, 300 posts should be a requirement for posting in a test patch forum.

Is that so you can get in?

Guys, I've just been told about a place in Nottingham.

Seems ok, and offers other things from Karting too!

Bob, where abouts is Stoneleigh situated?

I'd attended a LAN party, even if I wasn't racing. The more LFS social events the better!

Quote from Blackout :One nice addition would allso be giving penalty from crossing the yellow/white line when exiting pits.

+1

I'd have it set to as soon as a wheel touches the line you get a penalty. I think it would improve general pit exit behaviour.

Quote from tristancliffe : Despite the fact that I have the most posts here, I don't feel the need to vent my brain in every thread of Scawens (or anybodies) if it is above me. I suggest a few more people here do the same.

I think this is the major factor myself. Many of the less established members see a post by Scawen and think, "oh I've got to post in the same thread as the dev, and look like I know a lot." Just trying to impress I guess?

The U11 patch mainly happened whilst we were away this weekend at the karting, and I came back to find 3 or 4 pages of people asking the same thing, which meant in the end I just decided to go back to post 1 and just download rather than contribute to the discussion.

I'm all for a "special team" so to speak, if it improves the discussion and ultimately progress of each development.

Quote from Hankstar :You, sir, are indeed a gentleman. Let's continue this down at the polo club and stop cluttering up this perfectly decent thread with our spam

Instead I'll post this, an education on why we call net abuse, SPAM. Includes a history of email spam.
