OT: I would love to see it, but I am guessing IF they are gonna do it, it will at least take 10 years before it would even be finished. first they'll update to direct x 9, then they will update tire model, then S3 (which is content) and then they might think about rain.

you are mistaking rF1 for rF2 now. rF2 does have a lot more content (ISI official) than rF1 (19 cars and 11 tracks AT THIS MOMENT).

summary from the features that everyone also wants in lfs, but doesn't get them, because development.

-rain (dry/wet conversion as well)
-day/night cycle
-dynamic track (grip etc)
-real tracks

...There's still more replays in my folder which have a considerable amount of AI overtaking but I think this is enough for now.

Edit: A quick note, the cars in the video are running different setups, but not using intake restrictions to slow them down a lot. The differences in their lap times usually have a second or two difference as a maximum.

do be prepared for high costs to upgrade it. If you upgrade your cpu you 99% of the time also have to upgrade your mobo (because of the socket) and maybe your RAM as well (because the newest mobo's use DDR3, and I expect this old system doesn't have that) and maybe you need to upgrade psu as well (because you will use more power probably).

I might be thinking a little bit further than you here, but it's better to have too much info, than not enough
