Does this happen then?, I can't think of any occurance of something like this, at least completely un-provoked, happening in my lifetime, and especially not physical, and I've lived in a some pretty dodgy areas when I was younger.
I've given up on 2010, untill such time as they release a patch.
Its fun and all, just not much fun as the AI is really crappy when it comes to pitstops, they might as well have removed pitstops completely, because there is no strategy as you either get stuck in the pits as a string of AI drivers leave the pitlane, or backmarkers win as they don't even bother to pit.
I am amazed the amount of people who don't do it more, we get crossings when they are doing a deal, recent one we had was £20 for a car with up to 6 people and 8 free bottles of wine, I mean, its almost like they are paying you to go!!!.
Personally, I think France, and to a greater extent, Belgium are really, really under rated, I've offen been critical of Belgium, but in recent years we've visited Gent, Brussels, Bruges and various other small towns (Verne, Damme), and its actually a really nice country, with lots of interesting things to see, and some of the best architecture in Europe IMO.
I am planning to go back again next year and visit the "Atlantic wall" museum at Ostende.
Aren't they one of the least travelled people in the developed world?, according to the stats, isn't its something scary like 80% of people in the US don't have a passport?
Does depend alot on the engine TBH, my 307 used to run out of puff very quickly, I also found the MG ZT I test drove suffered the same problem, a very narrow (even for a diesel) torque band.
I dunno, my 150bhp Mazda 6 weasel is pretty decent at "making progress".
Torque curve isn't too bad, globs of it from under 2000rpm all the way up to the heady heights 5000rpm , not overly exciting, as the torque curve is fairly linear, but it goes very, very well, well enough to go up against the majority of traffic on the road today, and with a 6sp box, I am getting about 2300rpm at 80mph, very nice cruising car.
A weasel pretty much handles just as well as its petrol brother, so any smiles coming from handling are there regardless of fuel type.
I get around 51mpg avg out of mine, compared with the (reported of other forums) 35mpg of the 2lt petrol, and even worse, about 25mpg of the 2.3 sports!!!.
Bit of a no brainer unless you are flush with money I guess, but i do agree its a "head rules over heart" issue, obviously a diesel car is never going to "stir the blood" like a revvy petrol engine.
