Quote from jibber :I've seen you online one or two times.

Yeah, but you are always in bloody singleplayer mode!!!!

I wouldn't mind betting the co-op DLC may feature a heist of some sort.

I am up for gang hideouts, tend to do that mostly in FR.

The trouble is, whenever I am on, no one else is!!!

Quote from Dac :I think once we hit the 100 page milestone in another 6 or so months Scawen will close the thread saying this has gone on too long, if you hadn't figured it out already there is no new patch, LFS has done it's business and we have moved on.

And there was me thinking the only people who'd know this information was the development team, obviously, I was wrong.

I think we should all bow down to your superior knowledge.

It is still a very enjoyable sim, no question, but to those of us who have been playing for a very long time, its still essential the same game as it was 7 years ago, without the community spirit that made it such a great place to race.

As a whole, purely going by racer numbers, I don't think the product is "dying", as the numbers show that the amount of people playing has remained fairly static for a while, but it depends how you quantify "dying" I guess.

Sigh........here we go again.......

As has been said time and time again, LFS maybe "dead" for YOU, its not for plenty of others.

For me, there is no draw anymore, its essentially the same game, with the same problems, and the same physics engine as it was years and years ago, I have very little interest in playing the same game over and over.

For me, the draw of LFS was the community spirit, and in "its" hayday, LFS had an amazing community, so it was a good package, it was something that when combined with the game, made it something special, its clear now that this is not the case, the community has self destructed, its very hostile, not only on here, but also in servers, the driving standards now are worse than they were before.

So due to all that, its is, as a game, dead TO ME, the good points that LFS used to stand on have been equalled, and in many cases surpased by other sims.

So you are left with a so-so game, with dated graphics and audio, physics that are no longer streets ahead of other sims, a hostile community, and seemingly stagnant development.

Its no wonder people are tired of LFS, however, what I can't understand is the continual moaning and bleeting about it, sure, I can understand anyone getting tired of it, but for the love of god, move on to something else.

Free roam is hit and miss, I tend to like raiding the gang hideouts, sometimes, the other players in the room will help out, other times, they'll just be complete asshats and do everything they can to hinder.

Really need to get into a room with some people I know, but rarely get on when others are about.

Quote from southamptonfc :The problem that LFS is going to have now that progress is so slow, is that it will eventually be overtaken by rivals and potential customers will go elsewhere.

In many peoples eyes, this has already happened, alot of LFS'ers have already moved to different sims.

I liked the stained glass window at the end, nice attempt at religous harmony Abrams.

Couple of missions (1.5-2hrs) in and..........mmmmmmm, its a slow burner me thinks.

Visually and aurally, its beautifull, really, really good looking (glad I got the 360 version :razz, but its slow to start, should take a bit more of a hold once I get into it.

Horse control is a bit funky.

I found GT4 to be a pretty decent representation of the real thing, but TBH, pretty much any sim will give you enough of an idea of the corners to know whats coming next, although, I have yet to find one that has the visual cues of the real thing down to a T.

No subsitute for the real thing though.

Only a couple of weeks now till my first 50miler, then I have a 73miler a few weeks after, then my first 100
