The old nature vs nuture argument, been rumbling on for decades, doubt there will even be any resolution of it.
There are obviously a certain set of hardcoded genetic parameters in all of us, but they are just the building blocks, how far they permiate into our "personallity" in later life is something thats up for debate, and has been for a dogs age.
These days, there are certain terms that have been battered out of shape, no longer represent the gravity of the term and terms that people just look for an excuse to use.
Two of these are "racisim" and "bullying", and it doesn't take much to give certain people an excuse to pull either of these cards.
Lets look at "racism".
Now, the above is a "dictionary" statement describing the term, I DO NOT in any capacity believe that someone describing someone as "the black guy" even approaches the defination of racism.
Describing someones physical attributes IS NOT racist.
However, if the OP suggested that the "black guy" was slow, and some how indicated that him being black was in someway related to his slowness, or job performance, this can, and will be, classed as racism.
My reasons against auto are almost purely down to the running costs, when comparing like for like (exactly the same engine), its hard to justify.
MG ZT Auto - 40mpg - £235 a year tax
MG ZT Manual - 48mpg - £155 a year tax
May not sound a lot, but if you do 20'000 miles a year, it adds up
Not only that, but I feel very much out of the equation when driving an auto, like you have less control, with a manual you just have that control over gear and revs that you just don't get in an auto.
2006 Mazda 6 TS2 diesel, it has the 147bhp engine which swung it, 6 speed box, climate, TC, cruise, 6 disc changer all the normal trinkets, quite high mileage at 80K, but it has one owner, all the service history, reciepts etc, so its been well looked after.
Paid a bit more than I wanted to at £5350, but it was a good deal
We had a Rover 75 CDTi as a pool car a few years ago, and from what driving I did in it, it felt fine, yeah, it does feel very "olde worlde", but thats part of the charm for me, especially with the "trinkets" of the MG bits, sort of a strange combination of "pipe and slippers" and "just ramraided a halfords shopfront and all the bits stuck to it" which I find quite appealling!!!.
Yes, the Mazda 6 is another option I've been looking at, unfortunately, everyone within a reasonable distance has mega miles on it.
Makes no difference, you paid for what you got when you paid for it, not future development.
It was announced it was PLANNED, there was never a PROMISED release date.
Personally, you should be happy that you'll get it at all as a free update, rather than complaining that its not here yet.
I am personally disheartened with the development with LFS, which is why I haven't driven it in months, BUT, I got WAY more out of it than I paid for, both in terms of free addons and improvments and pure "wheel time".
I just get a bit peeved when people pull the "we paid so we should get" card.
Race what you've got, or play something else, its that simple, the core of the game stays the same.
The trouble is, I've brought with my head numerous times, and everytime regreated it!!!!.
I NEED a 4 door saloon / hatch, I NEED it to be reliable, I NEED to know it will start when I turn the key and not breakdown, I would like it to be cheap(ish) to run and insure.
