You can incarcerate them against their will, though, in the name of restoring their mental health (which may or may not have ever been lost... there are plenty of rational reasons for wanting to end your life). This is what edge is getting at. It may not be "illegal" per se, but the end result can still be jail time, of a sort.
Yeah. Apparently the Massachusetts proposal had a lot of support initially, but the opposition raised questions over the steps the patients and doctors would have to go through—basically they said it wasn't stringent enough to make sure that the patients were in their right mind in order to be able to consent.
I mean, I already knew you were an idiot, but this really confirms it.
1. There are plenty of Democrats who are pro-life, because a single issue shouldn't define your entire worldview.
2. Your Republican palz want to a) get rid of planned parenthood, thus depriving many young women of access to counseling, preventative care, and contraception, which will only lead to more babies they're not able to take care of, b) want to outlaw abortion, meaning that more babies will be born to women who can't take care of them, and c) want to cut the safety net that helps young mothers who don't have the resources to take care of their children. And what's their answer? Charity, of course... which worked so well that we had to create government assistance programs in the first place.
Most, but not all. It's mostly about upbringing, which biases are foisted upon you by your parents, and how much thinking you do for yourself once you're old enough to think about politics on your own.
If it's not faked, this is most likely just a miscalibrated machine. No doubt it's a bad sign, but I think if it were a systematic attempt to funnel votes to Romney it probably wouldn't actually SHOW you choosing Romney when you mean to choose Obama.
edit: don't let me get in the way of the Racer X show, though.
Yeah, it varies by state. Each candidate has to fulfill certain requirements to get on the ballot, and those requirements are different in each state. Here in Massachusetts we had four choices for the Presidential/Vice Presidential ticket:
Movie is not exactly what I'd call "good," but it's certainly ambitious and at times moving, inspiring, exciting, funny, thoughtful. More than you get from most movies these days.
