Make sure you have your race number and/or your LFS username as your nickname on TeamSpeak

3. Broadcast
This race will be broadcasted by Sim Broadcasts: https://twitch.tv/simbroadcasts

They will be in the NDR TeamSpeak. You are invited to be interviewed on stream during the breaks between sessions. Please follow their terms listed at https://simbroadcasts.tv/voice - we will apply those to our Commentary Box area.

4. Driver Naming:
Be sure to be in your proper name format Number, first initial, dot, last name [eg. 00 J. Provost].

The car number must be in white. Your name may be in colour.

5. Practice Starts
Drivers are permitted to take practice starts at the location notified above, any time the pit exit is open. Drivers taking practice starts should pull up to the chalk line that marks the spot, and wait for a clear path to take their practice start. Cars in the exit lane have right of way over cars preparing for a practice start.

6. Virtual Safety Car Test
There will be a test Virtual Safety Car deployment in the free practice session, starting about 5 minutes remaining in the session. All drivers are encouraged to participate in this test.

7. Pit Entry and Pit Exit
On pit entry, all parts of the car must be to the RIGHT of the white blend line.
On pit exit, all parts of the car must be to the RIGHT of the white blend line.

8. Qualifying Procedure
Cars will be released in small groups to take their hot lap. You will be called to queue at pit exit. Pit exit will open for a limited time each group. Once you cross pit exit (end of the speed limit zone), you are committed to the run. You may only retake a run if you lose connection.

Drivers must not unduly delay other cars or themselves.

9. Race Start:
Each race will have a grid presentation after the lights turn green. Once this presentation is finished, the start procedure will begin with the 5 second signal.

An insim head-up display will appear, with five darkened lights. After 5 seconds, each light will illuminate red at one second intervals. After a pause of between 3 and 7 seconds, the lights will extinguish and the race will be started.

10. Safety Car:
On Restarts, the Safety Car will pull away from the field after Turn 8. It must not be overtaken before it crosses the 1st Safety Car line.

Overtaking is not permitted on SC restarts until YOU have crossed the start-finish line.

11. Adding Time to the Race
The race is scheduled for 45 minutes, plus one lap. In the event of a Safety Car or Virtual Safety Car, time will be added to the race time, up to a maximum time of 60 minutes plus one lap.

Safety Car:
For each complete lap of SC: 115 seconds will be added to the race time.
For the lap of deployment, (approximate %age of lap left to run115s)0.5 will be used to divide the full lap, and added to the complete lap total. Example, Leader is at split 1 when SC is called, (115x0.66)x0.5=76s (rounded down)

Virtual Safety Car:
Each second of VSC will be multiplied by 0.9 and that figure added back to the race time after the restart.

No time will be added if the deployment and race restart occur with less than 5 minutes remaining in the race.

12. End of Race
After finishing the race, please slow WELL BELOW racing speeds after Turn 1 and proceed to parc ferme, located beyond the T1 runoff. The top 3 shall report to the podium via the following route:

Take a hard left into the gap in the wall between Turns 2 and 3, and follow the concrete ramp to the podium area. P1 is in the middle, P2 is to driver's right, P3 is to driver's left.

Top three and anyone else wishing to be interviewed on the broadcast should join the Commentary Box Waiting Room, and one of the commentators will move you to the Commentary Box.

Does he use when crashed, but still can continue?

It is used to alert us to anything we may need alerted to. If you’re beached, upside down, etc, yes certainly.

You can also use it to mark when something has happened to you, contact, etc, we look at your car and around the time to see what you might be reporting.

Season finale!

Here are some championship scenarios.

Driver's Championship

With 156 points on offer in the final round, the top 4 are mathematically eligible.

In any scenario, Joni wins the championship if he completes 75% of the race distance in Race 1 and is classified 21st or better.

Gabor has the best chance to beat Joni, but must not lose more than 11 points in qualifying and Race 1 combined.

Team's Championship

Top 3 teams mathematically eligible.

There are 417 points available in the last round. Sadly, S1DUS would have to suffer tremendous misfortune to lose the championship.

Westhill National, for the finale. Let's hope the Turkish GP is done in good time!
LLS 2021: Round 5 - Pre-Qualifying and Locked In Teams
dekojester

Moderator
Hello racers,

Locked-In Teams

The following teams and their entered cars are locked in for Round 5 of the 2021 LFSCART Light Series:

Team S1DUS (Cars 27, 28, 29)
Race Green Autosports (Cars 12, 13, 14)
World Class Lions (Cars 39, 40, 41)
Fragmaster (Cars 7, 8, 9)

This gives us 12 reserved spaces for the second round. All these cars are entered into the race meeting, therefore do not have to pre-qualify.

Pre-Qualifying
All teams outside of the top 4 in points for Round 5 are required to pre-qualify.

Pre-Qualifying starts at 18:00 UTC on 7 October 2021, and runs for 48 hours.

It will take place in the NDR.Pre-Qualifying server. 24 cars will make it into the round on Sunday, we ask the first three team cars outside the top 24 to be ready to jump in last minute, if necessary.

Drivers may take as many laps as they want. Drafting is permitted, bump-drafting is not. Drivers should not impede other drivers at any time.

In the server, drivers are to use their names in proper format, using a car number associated to their team, assigned to them by their team management. Multiple drivers for a team may use the same car number, the fastest time will apply. The teams have the right to decide which driver represents them for the race meeting on Sunday in the event they have more drivers available than cars entered. Pre-Qualifying this round therefore serves a dual purpose - allows us to establish the entry list, and allows teams to use it to select their drivers, if they deem it necessary.

Airio will be running on the server, as well as the tracker.

00/no

IF YOU ARE ATTENDING THE ROUND

Please use this format to pair a driver to your team car(s), one per line:

Remember, once a driver has driven an official session, they are locked to that team. For the avoidance of doubt, we will not consider Pre-Qualifying a session that would lock a driver to a team.

You can have up to five drivers on your team roster at any time, and can only replace those who have not partaken in Free Practice, Qualifying, or the Races.

NOMINATIONS ARE DUE BY 20:00 UTC on Saturday, 9 October, 2021. You may make substitutions or changes up until the start of qualifying, but must have an initial declaration by 20:00 UTC or you will automatically be considered to not be participating, and your spot given to another car.

Event Specifics

1. Alerting the Administration:
Use @sc to alert administration to look at your car or the section of track you were in when you use the @sc command. The command will tell the administration what location you're at.

2. Communications:
All drivers are required to be in the NDR TeamSpeak server: teamspeak.newdimensionracing.com - Race Control messages will be broadcast to anyone in a channel in the Pit Wall in TS. If you would like a subchannel for your team or friendly drivers, please let us know and we will create one.
Make sure you have your race number and/or your LFS username as your nickname on TeamSpeak

3. Driver Naming:
Be sure to be in your proper name format Number (grey or white), space, then First initial last name [eg. 00 J. Palmer]. The name may be in colour.

4. Tracker:
Timing will be available and running on http://tracker.newdimensionracing.com.

5. Wind Conditions:
Low wind for all sessions, except Pre-Qualifying.

6. Virtual Safety Car Test
There will be a test Virtual Safety Car deployment in the free practice session, starting about 5 minutes remaining in the session. All drivers are encouraged to participate in this test.

7. Pit Entry and Pit Exit
On pit entry, all parts of the car must be to the LEFT of the blend line along its entire length.

On pit exit, all parts of the car must be to the LEFT of the blend line along its entire length.

Cars on the track not intending to enter or exit the pits may cross the blend lines as part of their racing lines.

8. Qualifying Procedure
The qualifying session is 20 minutes in duration. The actual session will be 22 minutes long. Pit exit will be closed for the first two minutes. The Race Director will announce when the fast lane is open for drivers to queue at pit exit. Drivers should only enter the fast lane if they intend to proceed to the track from the pitlane.

Drivers are not permitted to spectate from anywhere on course during the qualifying session, doing so will result in an end to their session. Drivers may telepit or spectate from inside the bounds of the pitlane and rejoin.

Drivers should not leave the pitlane if there is insufficent time remaining in the session to start a timed lap.

9. Practice Starts
Due to the configuration of this pitlane, a practice start location is not able to be provided this round.

10. Race Start:
Each race will have one formation lap, followed by a standing start.

When the default LFS lights turn green, pull away from your grid slot and do one lap, return to the grid area. Stop at the furthest available grid slot - odd places are on driver's left, even places are on driver's right. Once all cars are in position, the Starter will initiate the start sequence. An insim head-up display will appear, with five darkened lights. After 5 seconds, each light will illuminate red at one second intervals. After a pause of between 3 and 7 seconds, the lights will extinguish and the race will be started.

11. Safety Car:
On Restarts, the Safety Car will pull away from the field after Turn 8. It must not be overtaken before it crosses the 1st Safety Car line.

12. End of Race
After finishing the race, please slow WELL BELOW racing speeds after Turn 1 and proceed to pit lane. The top 3 shall report back to Start / Finish Line for podium pose.

13. Miscellany:
Do NOT under any circumstances Shift+P or Shift+S during the race without authorization from Race Control, unless you are in the pit lane.

Please post any procedural questions in this thread.

Good luck!

LLS 2021: Round 4 - Pre-Qualifying and Locked-In Drivers

Hello racers,

Locked-In Teams

The following teams and their entered cars are locked in for Round 4 of the 2021 LFSCART Light Series:

Team S1DUS (Cars 27, 28, 29)
Race Green Autosports (Cars 12, 13, 14)
World Class Lions (Cars 39, 40, 41)
Pixle Air Attack Racing (Cars 33, 34, 35)

This gives us 12 reserved spaces for the second round. All these cars are entered into the race meeting, therefore do not have to pre-qualify.

Pre-Qualifying
All teams outside of the top 4 in points for Round 4 are required to pre-qualify.

Pre-Qualifying starts at 18:00 UTC on 23 September 2021, and runs for 48 hours.

It will take place in the NDR.Pre-Qualifying server. 24 cars will make it into the round on Sunday, we ask the first three team cars outside the top 23 to be ready to jump in last minute, if necessary.
