I've got a bind too - just so then if there is a bump or whatever II can throw it up... but actions do speak louder than words....

..... for instance last night the Lord and I got together in a crash (we were 2nd and 3rd) LB crashed I was fine.
Going down the back stright I saw that LB had spectated.
I immediately spectated as well.
His retirement was from a racing incident with me adn it's not fair that one should continue when the other doesn't.

Quote from SamH :hehe.. I was still writing the options. A 2nd UF-BR isn't an option at the moment

I could lend you a server Sam

From MY point of view as someone with a LITTLE Baby-R experience we are suffering the same kinda problems that we had in the "Fall-Out" league in the earlier rounds.

4 Major problems.

They are:

1.Too many people close racing

3 or 4 wide s totally possible with this car, but the problem is people do not think about how many others are next to them. By being aware of where everyone is on the track you can easily run 2 or 3 or 4 wide around corners as long as people hold their lines.

This is where people with a fundamental basic concept of racing will know what to do and maybe a slightly higher license is required

2.Not wanting to lift

With these cars being so close in performance then people rarely want too lift and the 'plough through' bit can occur when someone in dront gets into trouble. People HAVE to be respectful. As long as you lift to avoid the crash/recovery 9 times outta 10 you will get them on the next straight from momentum anyhow.

This is where people with a fundamental basic concept of racing will know what to do and maybe a slightly higher license is required

3.Rolling and short wheel bases

These cars like to rol in the wrong circumstances, therefore attack kerbs with shallow steering angles otherwise becuase of the short wheel basethey will turn and flip easily.

4.Closey following

Driving behind guys so closely people don't see hte apexs and make mistakes as a result.

All of the above is basically common sense, but in the close packed fields it might just be that people are not used to close racing and a little time is needed.

Regarding track choice, sure there are some more dangerous tracks than others, but then also it is great fun to take these cars outta their comfort zones once in a while.... its all about the racing

HTH,

What is the UF Racers Club.

The UF Racers Club
The UF Racers club is a group of LFS racers who love close, clean, racing and most of all love doing it in Mini's

At the start of 2007 there was a serious shortage of leagues and event for the UF1000 car.

Several LFS friends got together and put out some feelers for a UF1000 league that was concentrating on making a close, competative and interesting league.

At the time the 'UF Owners Club' name was chosen.

UF1000 'May-Hem' Cup
The first league that was organised was run using the UF1000 car at a time of pre-patch X

The interest and demand was so high that we got in excess of 50 signups and we had to change the rules to make it a 2 division series.

The first UF Owners Club league was the UF1000 'May-Hem' Cup an event which was raced over the 5 Thursday's in May. They included 2 races per evening, with the second race being run with a reversed track and also a reversed grid. They also included constructors championships.

The league was a great success and the eventual winner of Division 1 was Mercury Racing's Paul Chapman, whose Team, Mercury Old Fart's also won the constructors championship.

The Division 2 Championship was won by SonicRealms Racing's Tongey. The Division 2 Constructors Championship was won by Zwarte Wind Racing.

A Video Review of the UF1000 May-Hem Cup is available here

A UF Baby-R is born
After the first successful league and with the release of Patch X there was a plan to modify the UFR car to make a racing version of the UF1000 which was also good for close racing.

After practising several combinations we arrived at a 45% reduction in engine intake. This gave us effectively a Mini Miglia Racer which was an instant hit, we just needed a name, and thus the UF Baby-R was born.

We are currently about to start the first season of UF Baby-R.
Again we have had over 50 sign-ups and have just organised a system whereby we have pre-qualifying to make sure we have full grids of 30 or 32 track dependant.

The Fall-Out Cup Season 1

The series has been a great success with 36 drivers in total scoring championship points over the 7 race championship.

Season 1 Drivers Championship Results
1st #10 M.Pesonen 262 pts
2nd #6 T.Corken 213pts
3rd #5 J.Parker 200pts

M.Pesonen drove a great Season and only recorded 1 did not finish. 11 podiums with 4 wins meant that he was champion with 1 race to go.

T.Corken also drove a great season, although he did not win any of the series races we was consistantly fast and as a result was the only person to finish every single race in the points, a great acheivement

Season 1 Team Championship Results
1st CR|Slot Car Racers 413pts
2nd PirateUFR's 374pts
3rd [dSRC] digiServ Racing Club 228pts

The Team Trophy went down to the wire. With the final race there was a real challenge from PirateUFR's to take the title. Unfortunately an incident involving both cars on lap 5 caused their title challenge to slip away.

The Team Trophy goes to CR|Slot Car Racers (#6 T.Corken and #5 J.Parker) Although they did only win one race between them over the entire season both drivers did score points in all but one race. A good consistant season was rewarded with the trophy

Season Privateers Cup
1st #46 S.Hill 46pts
2nd #95 M.Pust 40pts
3rd #55 T.Falkenberg 36pts

The title of Privateer goes to S.Hill who managed to pip the other two challengers at the final hurdle by securing a good points finish in the season finale.

Congratulations to M.Pust and also T.Falkenberg for their efforts over the season to make the Privateers Cup top three places.

UF Racers Club
At the end of Season 1 of the "Fall-Out" Cup, the naming of the series has been changed to The UF Racers Club.

With the launch of Patch Y the CTRA X1.5 has included the UF Baby-R as one of its entry level racing servers....

Taken from the www.raceauthority.com website...

"Introducing the new UF BabyR challenge server. The UF BabyR (CTRA designation: UF-BR) follows the intake restriction as imposed by the Fall-Out Cup league. We at UKCT enjoyed the season so much that we decided to launch a new entry-level server in its honour."

It is fantastic to see what an idea can lead too.

As I write this the UF-BR server is amoungst the most populated of LFS racing servers.

With so many new racers falling in love with the Baby-R, I'm sure that a Season 2 of the "Fall-Out" Cup will be very well received and much anticipated.

All details of Season 2 will be announced once the schedule has been reviewed.

Quote from mr_x :What's wrong with the UF1?

To be honest, I think alternating these seasons between UFBR and UF1 is a more sensible idea, as this is the UF owners club and there are 2 UF cars.

Please put the UF1 comments in the UF1 post

UF Baby R Season 2 Info/Discussion
Dru

In early 2008, we will bring you Season 2 of the successful UF Racers Club, UF Baby-R "Fall-Out" Cup.

I would like to start a discussion thread (an open forum if you like) to discuss the good and bad points of Season 1 and what people would like to see in Season 2.

For instance, with the launch of Patch Y and the introduction of the UF Baby-R onto the CTRA servers it is likely that numbers for this series may be higher than last time.

What are peoples thoughts on limiting team number entries or should we have an open policy and have such things as lapper/tracker qualificiation servers open for the week before to see who makes the grid or should we have a multi division system?

Other things to discuss would be number of races/rounds tracks to use, sprint/feature races, enduro races etc etc.

All constructive comments will always be welcome.

Best regards,

Dru

Hi Victor,

Please when you have the time available, could you please rename the UFOC Forum to the UFRC Forum.

Basically the name is changing from UF Owners Club to UF Racers Club.

We will soon be launching a second season of the UF Baby-R and will require a seperate sub forum in the future (i will ask for that when we have season 2 plans finalised)

Also for know you can drop the UF Baby-R Fallout Banner on the main LFS forums as it is hyperlinked to a defunct link.

Cheers and Thanks,

Dru.

Concept Racing is proud to announce its first new driver to its lineup since the team was formed.

Please join us in welcoming CR|R.Salama to our line up.

R.Salama has been involved with the team members of Concept Racing for some time now, having teamed up with M.Pesonen in the UF-BabyR "Fall-Out" Cup as the Pirateufrs.

R.Salama (username sokke) has shown consistant fast clean race pace on a variety of tracks and in a variety of cars. He is more importantly a great guy and is a valuable addition to our small but close knit squad.

Being Finnish, Sokke is not only naturally lightningly quick but also strengthens Concept Racing as a truely international team.

We all welcome Sokke to the team and hope that he has a long and enjoyable stay with us.

The Team Line up is now as follows

My first time on the BR Server - was worried about how it was going to be, but it was great... a few races in and there appears to lots of great racing throughout the field... in a few weeks when there is lots of set spread out then the racing from 1st to last will be uber close..

Here you go Falke, please use these to replace all your old ZWR skins for the movie/broadcast

Quote from TFalke55 : while reviewing the replay of the race I noticed Tony and Reintjan were using their old skins with ZWR logo... but interesting is, that i have from both skins without ZWR logos in my Skins X folder
Only Dru drove the race without ZWR logo and tag on his skin

This is a bug...

All ex ZWR drivers drove with updated skins without the logos on and had uploaded them to LFS world. KNow depending upon the names of them etc etc and the change in file size it appears that some people saw the new version some the old....

If you want all new ones for the broadcast Falke - i can send you no problem
