Quote from ACCAkut :jep, the VR6 is used as the top spec petrol engine in the Sprinter.

And about the Renault/Nissan relationship, can it be that the new Laguna GTs rear wheel steering is the same system used on the Skyline GTRs?

PS: The first production wankel was a co-production of NSU (now part of Audi) and Mazda. But only Mazda kept going.

Don't know, but, still about the Renault/Nissan relationship: the V6 engine of the Espace is from Nissan, and is closely related to the one that powerd 350Z, Murano, and a bunch of others, such as the Infiniti G35.

I didn't knew about sprinters using VAG VR6s, but I knew about VAG selling TDI engines to Chrysler and Mitsubishi....everyone is selling engines to everyone: PSA and Ford teaming up to do diesels, Fiat diesels used by Cadillac and Opel/Vauxhall...lots of other examples which I don't remember right now.

To my knowledge the Mazda 121 is a licensed version of the Fiesta, used because Mazda was in deep sh!t and didn't have the money to develop a completely new car, and the Sharan/Alhambra was developed with Ford (Galaxy), and therefor share the same VAG engines: the 2.8 V6 and the TDI. But there also was a 2.3 I4 which might have been a Ford engine....I don't know.

I think there is another factor that not everyone considers, which is time.
Think about it: mankind has got some sort of "advanced" tecnology like artificial light for only a couple of hundred years, while the universe exists for fore than ten billions of years. What are the odds of another lifeform to be in a somewhat similar state of tecnological evolution? Wouldn't it be far more likely they'd be "beyond" of us, or "ahead" (whatever that might be), for that matter.
Now I don't know if I have made myself understood (not likely), but I'm tired as hell.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Jack, it says :

PC2-6400

DDR2-800 (Presuming that means 800Mhz).

CL=4-4-4-12 on the front, I have the broken stick right infront of me ??

It's alright, for reasons I don't know the effective ram frequency of DDR2 modules is double what you see in CPU-Z.

Great job Vettel, best driver out there, and pros to STR, which were allowed to driver only because they made good Pasta when they still were Minardi.

Quote from Migz :I know, but we couldnt build anything because we dont have the money to pay all at once. We have to pay over 12 months or more, else we cant get anything.

Wait: you didn't have the money, so you spent MORE on a preassembled PC?

Looks better (or maybe "less worse") than tokyo drift. That was downright pathetic.

Quote from P5YcHoM4N :But that just makes the whole thing even more exciting. I can't wait for it to get fired up just to see if the world does ingest itself or not.

If no...then the ramifications of discovering something new, like this Higgs boson, would be mindblowing.
If yes...very very unlikely...I think we should just enjoy the show.

Quote from ACCAkut :well my parents are a bit special regarding games (@zeugnimod: z.B stehen sie voll hinter von der Leyen und Beckstein wenns um "Killerspiele" geht) and they somehow convince me most of the time... Think I'm too weak there

[sarcasm]Oh, those nice guys...[/sarcasm]

I personally don't like FPS but what they propose is just plain stupid in my opinion.

One cuts yout multiplicator (as you see in cpu-z you have only 6x when idling, but cause some load and it will go up again at 8x), but I have no Idea what the other does.

Quote from Jakg :No offence Sam, but DTM cars are nothing like real cars - iirc they have ONE panel the same, the roof...

They use custom designed suspension and body kits which are designed to work with the rest of the car, i.e to generate the downforce in the right places and generally compliment the car as a package.

There's no way you can get that on a road car for a reasonable price - sure, bolting on things like better tyres and bigger engines makes it faster, but people with fancy engineering degrees who can have custom-designed parts fabricated will always be better.

In fact they have a completely custom tube frame, and none of the panels has a structural function. The bodies are even completely exchangeable, as Mercedes did with bolting a new C-class body on a 2005 frame/car for its (the body's) unveiling.

EDIT: meh, ajp was a lot faster.
