Ha. Try $300-400 USD per set for my race bike. Yeah, you can do 2-3 weekends on them, but after 2 I notice a drastic reduction in grip. And my bike is known for being easy on tires.

Quote from Forbin :Smooth smooth smooth. I have no problem at all being smooth and winning with the R1 and R2 cars against the AI with only a gamepad. Smooth lines and smooth on the throttle. The only aid I use is autoclutch. 95% bonus. Like I said before, these races are a doddle with the right car (F40GT and Pug).

Honestly, the game's less fun for me with TC. I just mash the throttle everywhere.

For the record, I meant F50GT.

Quote from [UKR] Race King :Driving the R2,R1 class cars without traction control aint that fun(for me at least with pad dunno how easy it is with wheel)its kinda hard to prevent the car from power sliding through every corner (even when you do you're not going fast enough to win) which is fun the first few times but then it gets frustrating especially when the AI is almost flawless and grips in every corner like he's on freakin rails or something...

For me its kinda stupid not to use some of the assists when AI has all of them on...and if you look at it from the simulation side most race cars have TC,ABS etc so why not you too use it?

Of course. XP bonus is 95%. The only aid I use is autoclutch.

Holy crap. Got the Pug. R1 races are a complete doddle now. :sleep2:

Quote from 5haz :Perhaps LFSforum brings out the worst in people.

It's the waiting for a heavy, FWD, electronic-nanny-laden car that everyone will get bored of in a couple weeks. It gets to you.

Quote from Intrepid :What? Rip-off? How? Intellectual property is hugely questionable in the first place, but artists don't have a divine right to be millionaires because they write a catchy tune. Some artists actually have some common sense and accept the market has evolved and have moved more into making money in the live arena. This old out-of-date attachment to intellectual property is really making musicians like Prince look like morons.

Some probably wouldn't have it any other way. Although I'm sure it's a lot of work, many artists seem to genuinely enjoy touring and the intangible rewards it provides.

Quote from breadfan :From the protection point of view, you are absolutely right. I just can't imagine Arnold riding that Harley Davidson in a racing overall, but then again, he is the terminator I was asking because of the "image" thing, not the "safety" thing. What is some good looking protective gear for that kind of motorcycles? Having a bike-ride with friends while wearing a racing suit and a full helmet seems a bit odd.

Arrrr, matey, ye be wantin thar best from thar Motor Company. pirate:

Race leathers do come in all black, or you can get something like an Aerostitch.

I wear:

HJC CL-SP (~$120 USD)

Alpinestars MX-1 (~$1200 USD)

Alpinestars GP Tech (~$180 USD. I would not buy any of their gloves again, though. They have issues with their stitching coming loose, notably on the side of the index finger on my gloves.)

Alpinestars SMX-4 (~$200 USD)

Joe Rocket Speedmaster (~$120 USD)

All of it's been down at least a few times, except the helmet, and the only injury I ever got was a broken collar bone from a highside. The stuff works.

Germany will score on England, then England will plead with the US to join the field. Meanwhile, Germany scores about 5 more times. About 5 minutes from the end, the US team finally shows up. With guns. They shove the whole German team into the corner and just keep kicking the ball in the goal about a hundred times. England (and the US) wins.
