LFS income has gradually gone down as it always does between updates. That that has increased the urgency of finishing the tyre physics. So I plan to get down to it, make the appropriate approximations and sort out a good physically based system, with enough assumptions to make it workable, accepting that total realism is an unachievable goal.

I just got a bit excited about stereoscopic 3d support, which some people will like because they'll be able to see LFS in 3d on a 3d TV, if their TV supports "side-by-side" or "top and bottom" mode. Also headsets should be supported if they accept one of those output modes. The old headsets that require specific support and sequential output will not be supported. For example a Sony HMZ works but a Vuzix VR920 does not. A more recent Vuzix should work but the field of view is not really good enough to give you peripheral vision. I'm not sure how much it will benefit the Oculus Rift at the moment. I think that depends on a pixel shader to provide the proper distortion, which I think is not available in D3D8. Anyway, one of the output options will be non-squashed (full) side-by-side 3D, which may possibly make it easier to use the Oculus Rift. Anyway it is a step in that direction. It does appear that the current Oculus Rift's resolution is too low for a racing simulator at the moment. Anyway I should be able to post a 3d test patch in a few days, I'm guessing early next week. Some people will enjoy that, though I realise most people, like me, don't have 3d equipment.

Victor is still with us, although he has indeed got another job, which looks like a really good one, putting his excellent skills to more use. I'm pleased for him about that, as his job here wasn't often really full time, although he is an absolutely vital member of our team. He needed a job as well because our profit share isn't one third each and depends on our actual contributions to the project. Victor started later and never has so much work, so for that reason only, his profit share was a bit of a tight squeeze to live on, specially with the gradual reduction in profits while we are waiting for a serious update.

People ask why I don't come here more often with progress reports. But there hasn't been enough progress to give a report. And it's not appealing to come here and say that. Every month I've thought I would be making more progress, and would have some good progress to report the following month. Hope you see what I mean...

Anyway, we do have to pay the bills and I'm very interested to get the better feeling tyre model out there for everyone to enjoy. You've heard it all before so I don't expect great enthusiasm. It will take a while yet, but hopefully not too long.

Forget this request, I am moving on to something else. It was an attempt at an PR stunt for Facebook to go against RF2, but its falling on deaf ears ( no matter what I do) but thank you all that replied.

I get no personal gain from this, you need to understand this, and the only personal gain I get is to keep driving.

Why do some people take it to the extreme here, this is positive thread, spamming the inbox or what ever of the Devs is neither a wise one or good choice.

At least we know one thing out of that post.....Scawen is reading this thread, I just hope he see's that we are just trying to be positive and get an answer for a very valid question. There is no animosity here

Has anybody done this one. I only ask, as I am a member/friend on facebook and Team Yuasa are premoting a "picture" with two hondas for RF2. Now I can do so much better, and I would like to do a video from LFS with the Honda Skins on the XFR.

So anybody done the Honda 2013 skins for XFR, you will get a mention in the Video??

Lfs already deals with RW drive far better that RBR, so give the community a chance to put their expertise into the other areas.

Failing that, a simple 'I'm alive' post would be appreciated. As someone who runs an IT company, If I followed the Devs rules and feedback, I'd still be telling people that Dos 3.11 was the way to go !

That is so true Racer, except for the last bit. You would be down the job centre explaining why your not employed anymore LOL.

On a site note my £12 that I paid out when S2 came out, if I put that in an interest account back then, and taking an avg of 2% interest (although I know it isn't now) my £12 would of been close to £250 LOL.

Although you cannot see it, the FXO cuts off the left side mirror, so I have to move the screen setting.

see attached, same setting but different cars

I saw that, but it doesn't seem to save each view for each car.

For example, I set a view for XFG, then come out of XFG, and go into FXO, but then FXO has XFG settings. Do I need to come out of LFS then go back in to set each cars view?

Hi All,

Just a question. I have recently been blessed with using 3 monitors with LFS, what a difference and I use the SOFTTH. Now only now using this, and playing around, LFS doesn't save your view's for every car, as they are different ( XFG to FXO for example) is this correct, or am I doing something wrong.

So for each car change, I think have to amend the view when required...

Is this right

IIRC, the loading/splash screen for one of the early versions of the game featured a car with FORDMAN on the registration plate ?!

Thanks for that Col, and yeah your totally right, I am enjoying LFS,( due to having three screen working ) but yeah, after all these years, LFS is still the game I return to, every night and as much as time allows....still after 11yrs, but I know I am not the only one, and to be fair, it's not just me that deserve's an answer, its the whole (active or non active) community of LFS

As long as the master server is taking connections and people are racing.....I will still be here

Fair point Rosewood2, like I said, this is not a pointing finger thread, or even a wagging finger thread. Some of us (that are left ) have been here for so long and was promised soooooo long ago, so I thought I would publicly ask the question to the DEVS.

I know the new people that have joined recently and such a welcome to this game, they just don't know how long this development has gone on, and when and how long ago S3 was mentioned.

So this thread, is not a dig and anybody, nor a thread to start saying when and if and what you doing about it. I asked this directly to the DEVS for THEM to answer......is S3 still going ahead.....Its a simple Yes/No answer. On how much they want to elaborate on that, is up to them.

Dear Mr Scawen, Victor or Eric....

Can you please, tell us, the community that have purchased your game, License 1, License 2 and some of us have put payments aside for License 3 ( which I am one of ) tell us, is LFS DEAD and BURIED and not going to make any progress in the near or distant future.

I think that you at least, owe it to us, the paying community or the paid community to let us know if we a flogging a dead donkey or we are waiting for something that will re-ignight our passion for this game.

I would like to re-iterate that I am not asking for dates, timelines or anything of the such, all I am asking, and I think I am speaking for the ,000's of community members hear, we would just like to know where we are at, and what is happening.

"When it's done", is not really an answer anymore, although it started out as a tounge in cheek comment, but the lack of responses, when you used to be so active ( expect you Eric LOL ) leaves us thinking, what is going on.

I / WE are not looking for details ( although some will be ) just a sincere confirmation that LFS S3 will be, and is being worked on and will be available, at some point.

To people that read this...I have tried with the email the DEVS, and didn't get any reply, ages ago, so now is time to go public, and ask, what you are all asking the same as me !!!!!!, in a nice way though

Has anybody else managed to get this working on Multiple monitors. I have changed the screen.ini mode=3 and even tried softTH, but only the centre screen works.
