I know what you mean, but you can't blame them though, they are loaded now. Look at chelsea, when they roman bought them, it was only two years later they lifted the premiership trophy...
I have a problem on my wife's netbook, the wireless connection has suddenly stopped working properly.
If i try to connect, i search for a connection, which it finds succesfully with an excellent signal strength, then i hit the connect button once i've highlighted the connection and pop in the passkey. The problem starts when it then attempts to retrieve an ip address, it just doesn't get one, then tells me there's 'limited or no connectivity'.
I don't think there's a problem with my netgear modem/router, as the DHCP is switched on and serves out ip address' for fun to my laptop, PS3, PSP & mobile phone.
I've so far tried restarting the modem/router (including resetting to factory settings)and uninstalling the drivers for the wireless card and installing them again (both with original and the latest drivers). I've also tried setting an ip address manually but with no success. I've tried the 'repair' button, i've tried ipconfig /renew in cmd, nothing i can think of seems to work.
All was working fine until a couple of days before we went on holiday, when the connection just stopped with no explanation, but now we're back and i'm trying to get it sorted...
So does anyone have anything else i could try? or does it sound like i should take the machine back (it's only 2 months old)
It's a Dell Inspiron 1010 if thats of any help...
Thanks for any help
EDIT: Forgot to mention, if i plug the netbook into the network with a patch lead, it connects and retrieves an ip in moments...
Yeah, gratz guys!
Loved racing for you a few years back, as you gave me my very first place in a team! Great to see you're still going strong
Great skin btw
I agree that an EQ is an essential in a studio, but i just can't see why anyone would find any use for one during playback... For me, it's the audio equivilant of ricing...
At the end of the day, it's down to personal taste, and i've got no beef with anyone who EQ's, i just don't understand how anyone can think it makes the sound better, thats all...
I can't listen to some music in 128kbit mp3 on my system, it just sounds horrid. Anything clean sounding (ie not like DnB where there's sounds coming from all over the place) is just horrible at 128kbit, 320kbit is just about bareable.
But like you say, on my Logitech speakers, 128 is fine, as everything sounds crap through those
Ehh, yeah? I listen to DnB as well as a lot of other genres. But how can you say the Bass and the "High tones" are the most important in DnB? ALL of the sound in ANY music is the most important, if it's there in the source, then thats what you were supposed to hear and how you were supposed to hear it.
Of course changing the EQ changes the sound, it's boosting/reducing the db in different areas of the sound, hence, it's changing the sound. Adding EQ to music imo just makes it sound poor/terrible...
Well, i have a pair of B&W 602s3's, which i would regard as nothing more than entry level (but a very fine loudspeaker all the same...), and running an EQ through these makes a horrible mess of the sound, same as any other speaker...
So is anyone going to LeMans for the 24hrs this weekend?
I'm gonna be there, getting there on Thursday to see the qually, then leaving Monday after the race. I'm really looking forward to it, it's my first time at the LeMans 24hrs, and my first visit to a track for a race since i went to Donnington in 98 for the BTCC!
So yeah, i guess it would be cool to meet up with some guys from here that are going to the race
I still feel that it was the result of a little impatience on your part though. I took that line through T1 (wide in, fast out) on every lap that i had total control of the car. I think if you had have waited rather than just steaming in, then you would have been presented with better opportunities to overtake towards the end of the race.
I don't usually get narked by these things, especially in public races, but 2 factors made me a little angry.
1) You are better than that, i've raced with you a lot of times, so i know.
2) I don't usually get podium opportunities, and had one unfairly taken from me tonight...
Anyways, i'll get over it, and thanks once again for saying sorry
So apart from that, i had fun. I made a n00b of myself in the first race when i thought we were on a different combo, and went straight on at the hairpin near the end of the lap. Fortunately, i only just clipped a guys front end, and i don't believe i damaged his car or hampered his race in any way (please correct me if i'm wrong, i will then beg for you forgiveness...). Must try to get onto the server before qually in future, just got back from work too late....
I was also quite pleased that i seemed to be at least keeping up with Troy for the first half of the feature race. Unfortunately though, the cracking rhythm i was settled into was upset by my finger catching the downshift paddle mid corner, the subsequent fight to keep the car on track, and then the Kamo incident.
Well, i will be buying it when it finally gets released, i don't care if it hasn't got the best physics (thats what LFS is for...), it'll still be a cracking thumb twiddling title
