Forza 3 felt very odd whenever the cars began to slide, so I wouldn't be able to sit for hours and play it purely because it felt weird when it came to actually driving. I couldn't sit for hours playing Gran Turismo 5 either, I'd get bored! The only driving game I get any real satisfaction out of driving these days is Netkar Pro anyway.
I work for Lloyds Banking Group handling confidential data and such. For a job that comes with such a huge responsibility, it's boring as hell. :tired:
I agree, however considering who the company that created the game, you can't expect it to reflect what would happen in a real F1 car!
A million and one times better, but that's not really too difficult when a game is as poor as F1 2010. This game is much much better though from my experience. Its not realistic (captain obvious right here) but it's driveable and good fun. Rain actually offers a proper challenge now! Also the game doesn't look like you're always wearing yellow tinted glasses. Those silly over the top PP effects have been taken out, so it looks much more natural and is much easier on the eye. The AI actually exist now too
Did the first career race at Melbourne with Williams. Qualified 17th, finished the race 15th. Actually had some bizarrely fun racing with the AI, although when coming up on lapped cars they annoyingly shift over when you go to overtake as they seem to assume you will stick to the line you're on. It rained throughout qualifying and for half of the race. One issue I picked up on was that the track dried out before the raindrops had stopped visually falling, so I assumed I should stay on the intermediates when I needed to be on the prime/option tyres. Other than that, great fun! It's no Netkar Pro, unfortunately, but it's bearable once you set your wheel up to your personal comforts. The game runs extremely smooth on my PC, unlike 2010, and in my opinion looks far far better. It looks much more realistic than all the silly, overdone post processing effects from the prequel.
You might have noticed I keep getting booted for being a possible cheat. Not sure what I've done that's possibly cheating. Maybe I need to remove my NOS button and spoilers that give me more HP.
But it's just ear rape. Seems like a waste of time trying to replicate the sound from an engine in a car that has a different amount of cylinders and therefore produces a much different sound, when whatever I try sounds like a ton of bees en masse.
Use lfstweak and give the XRT a couple more cylinders and then raise the exhaust volume. I think that will give you what you want!
The trans sound is really high pitched so took a lot of tweaking to sound ok, wasn't really sure which sounded better out of two samples so included both samples for each car and you can just chose your preference.
Not a single problem here with the menus. Not a single problem with anything infact. Running great and racing wheel to wheel with other drivers is damn good fun now. The netcode seems massively improved. Just hope the online racing picks up now. Best feeling of any sim out at the moment, but the online racing is hugely lacking due to the small amount of online drivers.
I recently re-installed GTR2 without even realising it's now free. Took me ages to find the case with the manual for the serial key. Could have just used this! Nevermind. Quite a lot of fun and there are some impressive mods out there for it! Wish the online racing was a bit more populated but then again it has been out for quite a while now.
For what it's worth ant, I don't get where you thought Phil was pranking you. Your poorly photoshopped avatar is indeed quite hilarious!
