Ok:

- combined axes: off

- overall effectstrength: 90%
- Springeffect: 0% (LFS dont use it)
- Dampingeffect: 0% (LFS dont use it)

- Centering Spring: off (and strength 0% too)

FFB strength in LFS is 90% too. This was my first FFB wheel ever, so I startet with lower strength settings like now, 60% in profiler and game

Hm, I thought the momo racing pro is more expensive than the DFP.
When I looked for a wheel the MOMO was around 145€ and I got my DFP for 115€. But maybe I'm wrong or the prices only counts in germany.

I only know the DFP, but its great. It's not the 900° of rotation, it's the possibility the set differnt degrees for the differnt car typs, which adds extra realism. You can use 450° for the formulas, 540° for the GTR's, and 720° for the rest, and of course 270° for the MRT5 =).

Quote from Gunn :My LFS didn't come with a manual.

You can find a manual under "links" on the LFS website

I think a rating system wouldnt be fair enough. It needs a lot of self-control not to vote with your first emotion. (I'm not sure you understand me, cause my english ... =) ). I mean sometimes you are very angry about a crash, but 5 min later you cool down and realize that shit happens sometimes.
Especially if you give different weights for different voters, better racers are not better human beings necessary.

LFS should stay open for everyone in its basics. The community can handle such a problem by itself. Of course we needs the options, thats why I suggested the serveroption in post above.

Idiots also exist in reality and LFS wants to be like reality =).

Edit: there are racing-rules in the manual already

Maybe the dev's could introduce a serveroption, which only allows players who reached laptimes within a specific percentage of the actual wr. Like the leagues do.

Then you can setup server for the experienced racer, but also open server for newcomers

Quote from tristancliffe :True!!!

But how do revs affect the biting point. I can make the car move without ever touching 1500rpm. So this figure of 3500rpm or whatever it was above is meaningless. That rpm is set by throttle and gear ratios, surely?

And if you mean FXR, then there is DEFINITELY no problem with engine torque imo.

who are you that you define wether there is a problem or not.
If I have a stiff connection between the engine and the tire, the rpms must drop to 3000 rpm or less at start, otherwise the wheels starts to spin. And we all know that spinning wheels are not the best at start.

I'm stupid. Meant FXR instead of FXO, in post above !

Quote from tristancliffe :
If you lower the gear ratio's enough, you'll get enough torque multiplication to move it easily. Then a fairly long shift to second once your moving. Have a look at other people's setups.

That is what I want to avoid. I'm not that experienced racer, but when you clutch manually, you wont hold your clutch at 2000-3000 rpm ?

yes i mean revs the auto-clutch works at. My english is not very good =).

Adjusting the gears has no affect, the revs stay the same.
I have the problem especially with the FXR (edit) on astion national. With my actual gear settings, I have to set the first gear to short, compared with the second, for proper starting.

(With 2 sets of driving for pro pedals, one for gas, brake & the other for Cluch & handbrake.)

where do you connect the second pedal set ?

I'm sure you can setup a real auto-clutch. A clutch would be useless, if I can't adjust force for open/close.

Maybe its enough to set different biting points for different cars.
Maybe I buy me a third pedal =).

But some change would be great.

I like to have control over the biting point. At the moment it is around (edit) 2000- 3000 rpm. But the power output is sometimes to low there (depends on car).

Of course its transferable ! It is verry easy.

Just take some paper and a pencil, and go... =)
