Luckily I could again borrow the server form someone else for our event every Sunday evening.

Nice to see people still care around here to help someone else.
And luckily we are on a winter brake driving only open races but the league continues the 27 January.. I hope Dean can fix it by then ....
IF not I will be forced to look for a new hoster and then it will be byebye 500servers I guess

Indeed.. I think he never got into that otherwise the backup would have helped us. Even if he is on a holiday, I would think he would check the status of the servers during the day.. Read this forum.. So .. or he is unconscious somewhere or there is someone sitting on top of him and he can't get away..

DAmned Dean !!! The fact that your service is down is bad.. The fact that people are not answered why the problem occurse is far more worse !!!

Can we, as customers, at least know what the problem is and a preduction when the problem will be solved !!

Then at least we could take the correct actions to make sure our events can take place !! We do have obligations to our racers!!

It is bad to have a server down but it is far more worse to have no news from you on the reason and prediction when it will be solved !!!

This is primar to the respect towards your customers.
that it thakes time to write this all down... Indeed.. But a lot less frustrated people to leave behind.. Now we even don't know if you are busy solving this problem or sleeping on a hot beach somewhere....

And back online.. Thx for fixing it.... why o why does this frequently happen during the weekends. Again our race was gone.. again a very bad advertising for or league...

And of course Dean can not warn us in advance if it happens all of the sudden.. But he could at least let us know we've lost our server..or give us a backup server for that period..

I guess that this year alone we've missed out 3 races due to server down issues.

And here we go AGAIN !!!!! Again or serer liveforspeed.be server is offline !!

And again without any warnings or an e-mail from Dean to warn us the server is down and what the problem is and how long he is estimating time to solve the problem..

I realize Dean tries to pleas us , but PLEASE start with INFORM us instead of making us find out for our selves and have to search for the problem in these forums again !

Strange that after all those nice suggestions I do not see the suggestion to add an Safety Car procedure, that can be enabled by the admin(s).

We use such a system now on our league and has many advantages.
As it brings all cars back together again, so a lot of close racing again just like after the start, So more action.. More fun !!

Also it prevents a car for quiting as resetting is not allowed during our races so due to the SC procedure they stay on track collecting some extra points at the end of the race.

Secondly We don't need to ask for extra tracks or cars. Just give us the possibility to create them ourself as you as you have to possibility to do so in RFactor. My findings is that RFactor is not such a good simulator then LFS in matter of car feel realism but at is a great success as members can create cars and real tracks !!!

Gratz to MonTziK95 by far the best entry, got my vote to.

Even if the votes showed my was the worse of all the entries, I don't think it was that bad and in my opinion better then som.. But I guess I have to grow in here so other come to know me better and see more of my work before I will get some more votes..

Or maybe it is a learning process on what flavour of art they like around here... will .

Indeed, that is my point exactly.. IF we would know how long this problem would hold.. So why bothering someone to occupy his server if maybe the 500server problem is solved in a few hours.. IF yes IF we would know what is going on or when it could be solved.. but indeed .. Nothing and even now.. Still nothing we know what is going wrong !!

But we were hoping on some action from Dean himself..

This year I was planing to go to the service of Gaming-solutions.com as last year we had a little to much server down time, late responses and also no news when somethings was going wrong..

But Dean convinced me he would resolve this problems in the future.
He realized it was to much for one person to handle, so in times of server down, he promised to get more man power to resolve those problems.
He also promised to get a more stable service of servers and network connection.. And at last he promised to keep us informed on what was going wrong..

What have we got from those promises ?? NOTHING .. Last night we had a league race .. ANd no server.. So I had to host it myself.. with lag problems as result, craches .. and very unhappy and frustrated racers !! That is not what I've paid for...

Is it really to much to ask what is happening, what the status is and what time we have to wait to have the problem resolved ?? If we at least knew how long it would take to resolve the problem, we would have the time to inform the racers and search for another solutions as not all the servers are down .I'n sure we could find a stable server to have the race on a stable and large enough broadband connection .. But what do we here ?? Nothing nada..

I really hope Dean learns from this and even if it takes time to write a message.. to take the time to inform his clients !!

And I know , when the problems are solved, Dean will compensate us again with an extra month.. but that is NOT what we want !! We want him to invest those free mounts he would give in that extra person, stable servers and the time to inform us when needed !!

Dean, you promised a lot when I reassigned to 500 servers... to keep us informed, recruting more people to help you, more stable environment .. We don't see any results yet from those decisions .. If you at least made them !! A C T I O N !!!! 7 hours AND counting !!!!

I've used one external Image for the dust and to see the behavior of the car/wheels as the force of impact pushes the wheels to the limits of the suspension.

We do have an official race this evening 20.30 CET !!!! And we do need a lot of practice before to !!!

Dean promised to give some work out of his hands and promised he would not be the only person to fix things.. THAT was one of my main reasons why I renewed the services at 500servers for another year.

But where is that promise ?? Where is that other person to help us out when Dean can't ??

Very disappointing experience again this last weeks .. And bought drop outs during the weekend.. Even previous weekend was out of his hands.

I hope to be online in the hours to follow !!!!
