My feeling is here that not only guys that put a lot of work in it can win or collect one vote.. But the one wit a simple idea and 2 minutes work gets a lot of votes.. So why bother putting a lot of work in it...
And for those who did put in a lot of work and leaving without any vote ... This is very frustrating ! And lost the complete interest in participating...
am I a bad loser?? No I don't think so .. but I have a rather busy live and can use my time in a far better way I guess..

I will check this item from time to time, and who know give it another shot.. But that won't be for the first weeks to come ...

Server down now over more then 6 hours..Was on it when it happened !
time out, try to reconnect .. server not online

now if I login into my console I get an UNKNOWN status on the servers, when I try to start them I get

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

If i try to see the config file I get

Could not create File Manager Plugin.

file manager also does not work .. getting :

Server Error in '/' Application.

Oh yes http://www.500servers.com is down to !!!
Luckily I was able to fill in a ticket before it went completely down...
Unless they did not see it ...

If you drive on a track, I guess the most common question you see is :
"can I have your set please ??"

Some guys are good, no, very good in making those sets.. Others are
better to drive them and some Gods can build and drive them around fast.

To help out those slower guys here we've added a setup page to our website.

Everyone can download and upload sets.

Downloading :

1. Choose a car
2. Choose a track
3. Choose the direction (Normal / Rev)
4. Choose the set you want at the bottom of the setup page.
5. Enjoy it on trrack.

Uploading :

1. Choose a car
2. Choose the track
3. Choose the direction (Normal / Rev)
4. Browse to your setup file (lfsfolder/data/setups
5. Choose the correct setup file
6. Fill in your race name
7. Set the fastest lap time you drove with that set (ex. LFS Lapper time)
8. Upload

Then everybody can taste your flying set.

If you find a bad set, report it to us and if we get this warning from others too,
it will be removed

Next Sunday we will have the practice race for race 2 of this season.
Track to burn the rubber on is Aston National (AS3) .. The car stays the same.. the MRT.
Also this track is a fast circuit and even has no such tricky parts as the difficult chicane we had on Fern Bay Green.


We have 2 sessions of 20 laps and 1 force pitstop to take.
But the number of laps can still change a bit on the official race


The qualify will start at 20:30 CET (please check our website for correct time) and there is no wind on the circuit.
Your allowed to drive 1 outlap and 2 hotlaps. Afterwards you jump to the pits our you drive back to the pits.
But you DON'T drive in the way of other racers doing a hotlap.
So SHIFT-P is mostly the best solution.

SHIFT-P may be only be used in the outlap once you've started the hotlaps, SHIFT- P may not be used !

After the qualify stay at the box and prepare the car for race (fuel, tyres, setup)

During the race I’m expecting a lot of Safety car sessions..please review the Safety car procedure placed on our front page of http://www.liveforspeed.be

Last Sunday we had the season 7 race opener with the MRT on Fernbay Green.
The race existed of 3 sessions of 10 laps with 1 forced pitstop.

Its a short and fast track with a high speed chicane in it.
But mostly the chicane was not the problem..
but the chicanes in combination with the easily flipped MRT was.

And so the Safety Car had no time to cool down his engine before it
was out again.
So we had a lot of slow laps.. But a lot practice to learn the
Safety Car rules.. Some the hard way and collecting a lot of penalty seconds.

But before the race we had the qualify .. AErox came out fastest but...
he took 5 laps instead of the maximum of 3 laps...
He gets a warning because this was the first race.
Next time this will result in a last place start.

Ok, you or your kids are back to school,
the month no longer starts with an "A".
And I already saw some adverts about Halloween..
This can only mean one thing...
IT IS TIME TO RACE !!!!!!!![/B]
Oh yeah..Season 7 is coming our way,
and the first practice session is planned on 12 September .
Season 7 is a single seater season.
Again we start easy, then end up with the fastest one seater we have.
Like before, we mostly stay at the same circuit for two races.
Most races exists of multiple sessions of small races.
So here it is :
19/09 : MRT on Fern Bay Green
03/10 : MRT on Aston National
17/10 : FBM on Aston National
31/10 : FBM on South City Town Course
14/11 : FOX on South City Town Course
28/11 : FOX on Kyoto National Rev

We just hope you like this one too and will come in great numbers.
All you need to do is know the rules and register on the forum.
This is really all you need to do to have a wonderful race event !

We have had a nice 1st race in the Summer events on Blackwood. Now Southcity is hosting the 2nd race. The car to bur the rubber with is the powerful front wheeler.. The XFR. A fast but stable car involving a lot of close actions. Funn 100% guarantied !!!

Are those lap counters also done with Airio?? and if not does anyone knows with what software this is done?

LFS always shows you how many laps the racers has done. But in case of being laped a few times he does not know on with lap the racers are.. And this is sometimes useful information.

The other information seems nice to because it is larger then in lfs.. so easier to read

The summer Events 2010



Oh yes the summer, hot, sunshine, pretty girls, nice road trips... and the nice Sunday evenings with the summer events @ liveforspeed.be !!

These races will be open races.. This means everybody is welcome !!!
But no, the race will not be messed up by racers who would love it more to mess things up, rather than to race.
There will always be an admin watching in spectating mode.
He will give penalties right away and if it does not help he will kick or even ban them.

No points will be given and we are there to have fun and get more experience until Season 5
starts on 13 September. We do not have a league during the summer because there will always be someone out on vacation.

We also do not have a practice weekend .. every Sunday we have a different combo.
But with the server online 24/7, it can not be a problem to practice during the week.

A link to our server can be found on the front page.
Time to start is 20:30 CET .. Watch the clock on the front page.
It always gives you CET time.
So no need to calculate.

These series if Summer events will start at 27 june.

How to participate ???? READ THE RULES !!!!!! And be there on time... that's all.

We have had a great race event this evening, without many incidents.
I guess also because there were not that much racers. But the one who came had a lot of race respect !!!

Senna would have been proud !! A real example of how to race with respect! nicely slow down on blue flags, even coming out of the pits. Fair racing like it should be.

The race was live controlled by 3 admins. I controlled 2 positions at a time. Possible because I have 2 LFS accounts. Very easy to give live penalties when needed.

Hi all,

We hope to welcome you on Senna and Ratzenberger memorial race 2010 this evening!

Like every year we like to stand still to the loss of 2 great drivers.

The track we race on is Westhill Int. A very fast track with a lot of fast corners but also some difficult slow ones.
There are a lot of overtaking opportunities to pass a racer due to two long straights where you can profit some slip streaming.
But watch out not to push the other car of, while coming in to hot on that followed corner !!

The car we race with is of course the BF1 but this time you can chose if you want to use the traction control or not.
We race for 40 laps with on forced pitstop.
Look out NOT to cross the pit exit line !!!

Qualify is free for the number of laps and will take 20 minutes.

The qualify will start at 20:30 CET (please check our website for correct time) and there is no wind on the circuit.

After the qualify stay in the box and prepare the car for race (fuel, tyres, setup)

Password for the race is SennA (with capitals)

Program :

20:30 CET : start Qualify for 20 minutes
20:50 : prepare car with race config, fuel, tyres.
20:55 : 1 minute of SILENCE !!!! so race starts but you ALL turn of the engine !!!!!! and stay there for on minute, no comments to please !
20:56 : race Restart ..GREEN….. GO GO GO GO have a good race!!!

This race will be controlled LIVE with 3 admins looking for unsportive behavior, crossing the pit exit lines.. not respecting blue flags…
We also will give live penalties for those actions from drive through to stop and go (10secs).

No problem m8, we can't force you to drive a memorial race.. As always we try to race as realistic as possible. Therefore we are also one of the few leagues with a Safety Car procedure and a lot of rules copied from the real world.. And as in the real world I have never seen a F1 car with just 4 wheels, a driver and a wheel ..... I even don't understand why the LFS makers leave that view option alive... While they keep on working months and months on a VW Scirocco to make it feel more realistic..
