To remember the tragic weekend at 1 May 1994 with the loss of Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger, we have a memorial race on Sunday 2nd May.

Program :

Track : Westhill Int.
Car : BF1
Laps : 40 laps.
Pitstop : 1 forced pitstop.
Traction control free to use
Start : qualify 20:30 CET. ( watch our website for correct time the watch is CET time)
Qualify : for 30 minutes, free number of laps.
20:45 : race starts after 1 minute of silence, cars on track must turn engines off.
20:46 : Restart.
Password : SennA (with capitals)

For all of the non league members, please read the rules of our league !!!

No subscription is needed, just leave a message here and be there on the track !!! The track will be on this combo one week in advance of the race.

There will be 3 admins just watching and controlling the race. We want a race with 100% respect for Senna !!!!
We will not and can not have some racers ruing the race for others.
During the 1 minute of silence we CLAIM one minute of silence !!! So engines off and no comments or the racer will be kicked.

But like always this will be one nice respectful race to be part of !!!

Indeed everything is back to normal.. thanks guys for the support , but really would like to know what the problem was this time... Can it be avoid in the future.. ?? orther stabilisation plans??

Indeed but is it only me or has it become more and more unstable last year.
I know they did a lot of moving arround to make it more stable but I have the experiance my server have been more and more offline....
Last time when they told us they would be offline, during the same time the LFS servers were offine, I have never seen ours offline (when checking) and other days, when nothing anounced.... BOOOOM nothing anymore... and also afterwards no explanation with a newsletter, mail or other media.. they have a good price/qualif product but it can improve a lot on stability and providing service whan offline.
Now I can not reach the website, our server, nothing to ask what the problem is, when it will be solved, reason.... I hope and I trust they will fix this again...So good luck guys !!!

This Sunday 07 March we have the 4th race of Season 6.
Place to be is again South City Chicane.. and should a circuit well known by now...
If you of course were there for the race with the UFR.. For those who missed out for that very nice combo..It's time to practice ..and practice A LOT..
Because the LX4 is not an easy car to drive with and the city walls are often closer then you think !!
The LX4 has a lot of power and you can only gain time to brake on time and let it go smooth through the corners.. come in to hot or step on it to soon and you lose the back end.
This race is divided again into 4 little races of 10 laps where the 2nd,3rd and 4th race will start in reversed order.
Be there is the only message we have have for you !!!
A practice session is the only time an error is tolerated, the moment to collect a lot of practice before the real race. and the perfect time to ask and collect some setups.
I hope to see a large number of racers !!

and we had a practice race this evening ..
But we did not have blue/yellow flag warnings anymore.
Especially the yellow one's are very dangerous not to have them.

Today on Wednesday it is another 5 days to go to start Season5.
Meanwhile more and more drivers gather up on track
and are testing the car out for real now.

Some have tasted the combo last Sunday and
got a lot of improved setups for the car.
But as we all know.... A good set is one thing..
Driving it fast with that set is another thing.

So behind the stage the slower teams are carefully watching
the replay from the faster cars.

Looking where are we losing those last seconds and how to do this
without messing up the rubber in 2 laps.. and more important..
Staying out of the wall ! Enemy number one on the South city track.

The Rb 4 is an easy car to drive but as all front driven cars, it is not
easy to be fast and preserve the tyres. They have to hold it out for
15 laps and there is no forced pitstop this time. But with the walls
so close we expect to see some pit activity.

The Safety Car was out once during the practice session and we also
expect it to come out this Sunday..

So a lot of action is at hand on the start of this new season.

We would love to introduce the calendar for the 5th liveforspeed.be season !
Just like Season 4 we are starting slow and increase the speed and difficulty level to the end of the season.

We start right after the summer break, and again we start with a practice session followed on the next Sunday with the official race.

The Safety car procedure has proved to be welcome and also stays this season. It brings back a lot of action to the track and more racers stay at the scene instead of quitting.
No rules have been changed, but that does not mean that we all shouldn't read them again to refresh our memory after those 2 months of summer break, Sangria, beach party's and other stuff.

This Season we will try out a different point system with the purpose to keep the racers closer during the season :
First of all we do not have additional points anymore for pole, fastest lap and highest climber.
The extra 2 points for racing at least 80% of the race stays so racers would not give up so easily.
This is the new points system :

1st : 10 points
2nd : 8 points
3rd : 6 points
4th : 5 points
5th : 4 points
6th : 3 points
7th : 2 points
8th : 1 point

Place to is at our liveforspeed.be 24/7 online server at 20h20 CET.
Don't try to calculate the time in you local time!! Just look at the watch on the front page of our website http://www.iveforspeed.be . That watch always gives you correct CET time.

So be there at 20h20 CET for last briefing so the qualify can start at 20u30CET.
We hope to see you all online next season !!!

Next Sunday the 2nd august we have our kyoto 250 with the FZR !!!

No subscription needed just be there at last 20u15 CET for the qualif to start at 20u30 CET.. Don't go calculating the CET time just look at the home page of our website http://www.liveforspeed.be. CET time is always displayed there.

What do before entering :

• READ and KNOW the rules. We have them in 4 different languages.
  
• Practice this week. try to be on top of the LFS LAPPER list !!!
  
• know we work with a safety car procedure.
  

During race :

• Be sportive !!! avoid contact at all cost.
  
• If crashed. FOLLOW the Safety car procedure.
  
• Admins stay on spectator mode to guide the race. Give penalties if needed
  
• HAVE FUN !!!!!
  
• teams possible
  
• never give up
  
• watch left or right before moving !!!

Hi all,

We hope to welcome you on the 1th race of the Liveforspeed.be Summer Events tonight!

The track we race on is where the sun is always shyning ....Fernbay Black Rev :

Car at service is the front wheel driven FXO.

The qualify will start at 20:30 CET (please check our website for correct time) and there is no wind on the circuit.
Your allowed to drive 1 outlap and 2 hotlaps. Afterwards you jump to the pits our you drive back to the pits.
But you DON'T drive in the way of other racers doing a hotlap.
So SHIFT-P is mostly the best solution.

SHIFT-P may be only be used in the outlap once you've started the hotlaps, SHIFT- P may not be used !

After the qualif stay at the box and prepare the car for race (fuel, tyres, setup)
After qualif we have a Lag lap. DON'T overtake, keep distance between each other, don't make brake tests. And stop after the last corner. Don't cross start and finish line.

The race is for 2 X 7 Laps, no forced pitstop ..

No password because this is an open race, 1 admin will be watching all the time.

We hope to see a large number of racers again tonight !!

Oh yes the summer, hot, sunshine, pretty girls, nice road trips... and the nice Sunday evenings
with the summer events @ liveforspeed.be !!

These races will be open races.. This means everybody is welcome !!!
But no, the race will not be messed up by racers who would love it more to mess
things up, rather than to race. There will always be an admin watching in spectating mode.
He will give penalties right away and if it does not help he will kick or even ban them.

No points will be given and we are there to have fun and get more experience until Season 5
starts on 13 September. We do not have a league during the summer because there will always
be someone out on vacation.

We also do not have a practice weekend .. every Sunday we have a different combo.
But with the server online 24/7, it can not be a problem to practice during the week.

A link to our server can be found on the front page.
Time to start is 20:30 CET .. Watch the clock on the front page. It always gives you CET time.
So no need to calculate.

How to participate ???? READ THE RULES !!!!!! And be there on time... that's all.

now my comments (as admin)on all this....

I was ashamed in Senna's place for the lack of respect !!!!!
guys came unprepared, not following the rules, not listening, running and starting during the 1 minute of silence.., ignoring the blue flag..
And in all of this I made one terrible error !!!! I trusted the others would respect Senna and in that way respect others to.... But they did not and so I should not have been racing myself.
This race was more like a Demo race with a bunch of rookies then respectable S2 drivers... but it is the admin eating it all for this it seams..

Sorry for the guys who meant it good, but I will not put more time into this race then I did already now....
For the racers out there who came to us with a honest memorial thought for Senna.. sorry the admin mest things up for you..
For the racers that came without any respect... thank you for messing this up.

Oh yes we have learned our lesson.. and no we will not give up..Next year there will be again a memorial event for Senna because he deserves it... And I ... I will be watching .. not driving that's for sure..
I just find it very sad to here The organizers get the blame to organize something that should have been something nice, but turned into something terrible due to some losers.
