Mmmm, I always loved the sound of a powerful Supercharged v8... That's one thing I've noticed an abundance of since I moved to the 'States, and I can't get enough of it even after 2 years.
Wow, that was a good laugh. Allthough, if you had two drivers with even an inkling of skill, the 3000GT would have completely crushed that P.O.S. CR-X.
I know that for keyboard steering there is the Normal steering, and what was labeled "Fast Steer". Allthough I get the feeling this isn't what you're talking about...
I guess I'm a bit barbaric then, because if I'm stuck behind lap traffic that wants to fight me off (I'm talkin' for about a lap or so), I tend to give them a very light tap to show them that I'm behind, and to make them want to obey the big blue letters that say "BLUE FLAG" on their screen. Nothing too hard, just barely make my bumper touch theirs. On the other hand, if someone wants to bang doors with me, I can take it for only so long before I bang doors back. I generally like to keep it clean, but if I'm constantly being banged, or squeezed into walls, I'll bang back to basically show that I'm not going to let someone bang me around for the whole race. It's not without warning though, usually after a race of being banged around by a person, I'll warn them before the next race that if they want to continue to bang doors with me, I'll bang back. But as I said before, I like clean racing more so than high contact. I'm glad I've got the STCC servers to race on, as the racing there is relatively clean (apart from the few nutters that come in from time to time).
Good to see other curtious drivers out there. All this reminds me of an accident I had on a server that I'm not going to name here, as I don't want the guy that's still probably pissed at me for accidentally braking too late, and winding up lockin' them up and skidding... Well, I just don't want to bring up the whole incident, but lte's just say I apologized and took the blame, and still got yelled at and rammed for the next few races. Wasn't really a big deal as I'd see him and move to the side and break early to avoid him and let him go wide into the wall, but anyways, I'm over it now. I guess my point is that if an accident DOES happen, and it's legitimately an accident, then forgiveness is key. It's all part of racing when it comes down to the last few laps, when one driver want's to catch another, he pushes his car harder in order to do so in some cases. Pushing too hard on worn tires will cause an accident in some cases, and in such case there's really nothing you can do accept try to avoid a collision with the other driver(s).
May not be ultra realistic or anything, but I thoroughly enjoyed Rally Challenge 2 on the X-Box when I still had one. Even had RallyeX. Back on topic though, it would be fun to have more RallyeX servers online, but it doesn't make me like it more or less with so few populated servers that play that style of racing. Tarmac suits me just fine.
I've got clutch bound to the top-left button on the wheel when I used to use the Logi MOMO Racing wheel. But now that I've got G25 I don't exactly have to worry about it.
Haha, glad I'm not the only one messing with this. (So far I've only started attempting to put the RB4 in the same class with the XFG, as I wanted to have a bit of fun with a lower powered AWD for that class' Rallye X) Never thought of anything like the LX-4 to go up against the UF1k though... Sounds interesting.
Another good thing to try, is to drive the course at around 3/4 or 5/8 speed, and take the smoothest line for you, meaning, the one that feels most correct. After you get that line in your head, try driving it faster and faster until you're at full race speed. By then the line should be instilled in your head enough that you shouldn't have too much problem unless your brain wonders for a second and you forget where you are...
That looks very good, I love the doors. The only thing I'd improve is the placement of the Passenger-side air vent (All I'd do is raise it up a bit, so that it's more natural looking). Great job!
I was the same way in school. Now that I've lived in the US for a few years, unfortunately my German is deteriorating... But at least I can speak English well!
Oh man, that AutoX was a lot of fun. I couldn't believe I got into top 100 though... I was so much slower then than I am now. I'm pretty sure I've still got that layout on my PC somewhere.
Sorry. The front of the car on the right is the same as the car on the left, just the sides are different. I think it's two seperate years of the car or something. And when I tried the other 575 skin, it shows up completely blurry on the car, so I decided to check up.
