Forgot who made this one, but I found it on the forums a few months ago, and I've been using it ever since. I think it follows more about what you're thinking of with Gran Turismo themed skins.
As the title says, I'm looking for this livery for an FZR I only found two pictures of the one I like, I'll attatch them. (#10 on the letterbox would be nice as well)
I raced demo for a little while, and when S1 was released, my brother got the license, and started playing. Usually he would be off somewhere, and I'd hop on his account and play the full game, and couldn't get enough of it. When S2 finally came out, and I had enough money to upgrade my account, I never had any problems with already licensed racers giving me any problems. (Even realized a few guys from other games that I play, or played, seem to be pretty active here as well). It's a good community, with some great competition. I have to agree with some other guys, when they get annoyed with people that should DEFINATELY know english, comming in with things like "omg omg omFG, i want liek, doriftos, and doritos lolololol, wowowww, i want nos, and zausts!!!!!111!!1! lol, rofl, lmao!!!!1". I can understand others, who come from non-english speaking countries who don't speak good english, and for them, there's probably a few people who speak their language to help them out, but it's the lazy ones who do speak English, that just don't. Until about 6 years ago, I didn't speak a word of English either, but if I can learn it and do it in that amount of time, I'm sure the kids that grow up in the U.S. or England should know it better than I do at 14+ years old. Besides that, the only thing that ever bugged me in the slightest in LFS, was the people who have binded "BLUE FLAG! GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY! MOVE NOW!!!".
(Mine's: Blue flag. Please make room. <- I only use this when I've been following lap traffic for at least a sector, and he's still fighting me...)
Oh, and "get S2!" It's more addictive than crack, meth, heroine, and cigarettes combined!
Yeah, I believe the only station in the U.S. that broadcasted WRC, or rally in any form, dropped all Rally, and I think F1, for more Nascar... (DAMN YOU!!! *shakes fist*) Now where's a Euro who now happens to live in US supposed to get his fix of GOOD motorsports? :Eyecrazy:
Was kinda cool, but what I want to really know, is what's the course that you were driving in the "Oops" section at the end? Looked interesting for both Auto-X or drift.
I usually stay pretty consistant (or try to at least), and rarely push my car to the edge of what it can do, unless I'm running in a Rallye-X race, or a run around SO Sprint2 Rev. I like to keep the pressure on whatever racer is in front of me, but I do respect him/her enough to brake a bit earlier to avoid nudging them wide. When I am in the mood to push my car to its limit, however, I drive aggressively, but still try to make enough room on the course for other drivers. If blue flagged, I make an effort to let the faster cars through safely. If there's wreckers, I try to stay out of their way as much as possible, they'll get dealt with. And, the only time T1 is a problem, is when I get hit from behind by an overzealous competitor. Never have been a backmarker, but am usually a midfielder or make podium. I enjoy a good door to door race, and rarely fold under pressure (I generally go a little wide if my tires are too worn to hold the guy behind me off for the rest of the race, so I'll give him the position, or if my tires are just too worn to maintain the speed I'd like to around the corner :schwitz. Have fun guys, and clean races!
I've been playing around with this for a little, just to see what it'd be like, and here's what I came up with for the XRT. Sounds deliciously mean. Slightly reminds me of my FC3S RX-7.
The GT4 version is definately pretty close, but again, physics... well, the physics are definately not that great. I haven't played the full version in PGR3, but the GP version looked and felt pretty good. I put that game down though, since it looked good and all, but just didn't do it for me in the realism sense.
*edit: that rFactor version makes me want to try it out... even though I laid that game to rest ages ago.
I would have put in the FZ50 somewhere in there, but I think the rear looks a bit off. I liked it better in the teaser screens when it had Dual pipes on either side of the rear.
This kind of reminds me of an incident I had IRL at a track day at Infineon. It was really just a bunch of guys with Evos, STi's, and a other tuners, with some Porsches (two guys, pretty wealthy, but besides the point). I was comming into the last hairpin before the "straight" when I noticed one of the faster guys of the day driving an NSX in my rearview. I utilized the AWD of the Subaru and accelerated hard out of the corner, to try not to slow him up too much, and let him be on his way. His rear slipped out a little probably giving it a bit too much throttle, so I had a good 10m between us. By the first slight bend comming on the lap marker, he was right there again, and instead of just passing (I gave him the proper line), he decides to rub my bumper. In a real race, with race cars, not my everyday driver, I wouldn't mind this at all. Happens sometimes. But I started to pull away after this (Not sure whether he let off, which is the more probable, or my car was a bit faster, but I don't know his specs). Entering the first right hand turn at the top of the hill, he ran his car into the back of mine with enough force to put me around, and in the grass. I sat there for a second and thought about it (was pretty mad to be honest). I pulled back onto the track after making sure it was clear to do so, and took it easy until I could get back to the pitlane as my tyres were quite dirty. In the middle of me changing tyres and checking the back bumper (wound up just taking it the rest of the way off, since it was hanging anyways), he pulls up rather aggressively and gets out of his car, and irately curses me and tells me that I have no right to be around a car, and is glad he decided to put me off. Unfortunately for this wacko, I was talking with one of the track marshalls at the moment about the incident, and, well, to make a long story a little shorter, he was 'respectively asked to leave'. The rest of the day was pretty smooth... except explaining to my fiancee why I came home with my bumper in the back seat...
Still got a good massaging to get the stiffness out of my back from that hit, but the lesson is, don't ram, just wait. When the opertunity arises, and it will, make the clean pass. I carry how I felt IRL getting hit with me when I play LFS, as I don't want to make someone else feel that same way I did. It's frustrating.
haha, as soon as christmas is over, I'll see what I can do about getting a decent enough camera to set up in my car, and I'll see if I can get it positioned correctly to show my feet on the pedals.
For those who are having trouble with the fluidity of your heel+toe techniques, this may be slightly more comfortable (don't know, this is just how I do it).
Usually I keep my right foot for the accelerator, and the left heel on the brake, and the left toes on the clutch. May be a little unorthodox, but it's worked for me for several years now. (Just make sure that you have good control over the muscles in your shin/calf/ankle, so that you don't press the brake harder than you intend, wouldn't want to cause any accidents out there on the road/track).
It may or may not help, but then again, it's all about what feels more natural, and is more flowing.
Ugh, you're right. I tried rfactor at a friend's house with his wheel, and it doesn't simulate the same thing at all. It just feels misplaced and unstable.
I was sitting at a stoplight in my Subaru today, and I noticed that the car rumbled a bit with the idle (Long light, really bored). I revved the engine a bit, and the frequency of the vibration raised as I did so. I finally got to my friend Dave's house to help him with the new supercharger on his Camero, and started it up. Did the same thing. I must have been really unattentive to the vibrations of an engine or something, because I was just sitting there checking it out on both cars for a good 5 minutes. Anyways, I figured it might be a cool immersion affect in LFS if this was incorperated.
I finally drove this car for the first time, and somehow managed to pull a 1:24.26 out of the hat with the stock set. I have to say that this vehicle is an absolute BLAST to drive, one of the more lively cars in the game. I'm going to definately try to drive it as often as I can from now on.
