The "temp.mpr" does get deletet/overwritten once a new Race starts....

You can only unlock LFS twice a Month. Ask the Dev's and they may give you one additional unlock.(Link) Otherwise you have to wait until next Month.

Btw:You don't have to lock LFS to play on Demo Servers. Just select "Demo" in the Multiplayer Screen.

Edit: As soon as i enter a Boat i have about 10 FPS, even in 800x600x16. And the Water simulation is rubbish, i can't even drive in a straight line.

You could try to delete the cfg.txt (or move it to another folder) and Start LFS.

Options > Display > first option on top.
