1) Setting up the logitech profiler to a certan degree, when you open profiler you will see at the top: " options > advanced option > change the steering degree" ( when im correct, this part is from what i remember)
2) setting up in lfs options > steering > steering degree ( right at the top)
isnt that why is asked it here, im sure he is in the right location,
// on topic,
Like there is standing at the lfswiki, its maybe a good idea to change the admin password, to some thing else, because when a friend of yours connects with that password, he can help you out
Ehhh, justasimfan its a nice idea you are having,
the only thing is that i cant see it happening.
basically the last years we have seen some example from games that can be modified. it turns out that it will even slow down the development rate. Think for example about Rfactor, at some point The had too improve the core phisics off the game, but there was no way of doing that with out making the current mods on-usable. this means that you can not update , what ever, when erver you want.
We all know that some guys dont like the way lfs is publishing new cars / tracks. but if you ask me , its good.
p.s.: i doubt that it will be possible to import it.
p.s.: a car model is not the only thing you need, you need way more before a car is driving
it is 1:1 , laser scan will always be 1:1 , but the Sim first needs to be realistic before you can say its 1 : 1, isn't that where we are waiting for.
i think that scawen and victor made pretty clear that lfs was not realistic enough, so they had to make a better (tyre) physics engine, to make it closer to real life.
dont get me wrong. but before now you cold not compare lfs to real life ( 1 : 1 ). now you can with sirocco / rockingham. in this way the must have found some in-correct part off the Sim. ( it will never be 100% realistic but as close as you can get )
I think that you are not really understanding how hosting is working, When you have a server / quick pc / internet you can make your own server.
when you DONT have a server / quick pc / internet you need to rent a server.
when you rent a server you can sent in your config file and you will get a admin password. with the admin password you can setup stuff like track, cars, etc.
Normally you need to rent these servers. but im getting the feeling that you are not having the financial status to do that.
if you want somebody to get a free server you can better tell a little bit more about you self. and the reason why you would like to have a (own) server.
p.s. try to use Google chrome or Microsoft words to get a better English spelling, i know im also having a hard time with it, but at least the words are having the right letters.
And im one off them,
in my eyes its very simple, we all know that Iracing / RFactor / LFS are also working on tyre phisics. Non off them are having something released yet.
its correct that iracing is releasing new Cars and tracks, but thats not the case in lfs and rfactor (non-mods)
iracing is having 2 developers working on the tyre phisics model (1 more then lfs).
Rfacter is also having more then 1 guy working on it. ( the owner said this last year over at Simracingtonight)
so in my eyes, when lfs got it released between 2 years and now, they are fast, very fast because Rfactor is allready working on it from dec 2007 ( one year more then lfs)
So "Slow" is an inaccurate word.
p.s. if you disagree, please come with prove, show me some Special tyre physics model
i think becky is correct. lfs is some wierd place, its a game where people keep returning to. not a one flyer.
i think at some point you need to forgive some body. maybe after 1 year or 1,5 year. but at some point you need to move on.
about cheating, all off us cheated once, but most of us not in lfs. because by the time we started playing lfs we had the age and knowledge that it aint fun cheating.
some of us are still in the age range that they like cheating. this is why a 1 year / 1,5 year ban will be very effective. at some point they will relies
but im driving now allready for 8 years ( most of the time lfs)
and i did have 12 different wheels.
i started out with some trust wheels. after that a mono ( red) , 1 year later a black mono. after 1 year i dissected to go with a different wheel. so i went to trust-master. the wheel did make me faster but after 2hour of straid playing or for example a 24h race. the wheel was gone. at some point after a 16 hour race , i stopped driving so the wheel coled down. when it was cold i could not turn it anymore.
after a couple different trust master wheels i went back to a logitech.
a g25. its is just a perfect wheel. love it.
then fantec was there with the very very nice pedel set. i just had to try it.
and it you ask me it was a piece of wast. after 2 / 4 weeks i went back to a g25.
im allready thinking about getting a g27. just because the shifter and the buttons are better.
after all these wheels i learned 1 thing. Logitech is way better the the others.
i have the Driving force pro, mono red, mono black, 2x g25. ( just drives great).
you are indeed correct, but after some time the g27 is better. the g27 last better. after 1,5 year (max) i always buy a new wheel, this is mainly because the the pedels are not as good anymore, and the wheel will have a bigger death-zone. over at the g25 it can be up to 10-5 degree after 1 year.
( i realise that 10-5 degree sounds like nothing because its a 900 degree wheel, but when you drive clean, no drifts, you wont steer more then 180 degree at max, and then its pretty much. it slows you around 2-5 kph on the strait over at ky3, ky2)
the g27 is build in that why that in theory a death-zone is not possible
sorry i would use better words, os means operation system, what you are running at your pc, like
windows 7
windows xp
windows vista
Mac os
what for tv do you have, i would like to have the type and brand, you will find the type on the front of your tv screen or on the right/ rear side sticker
About the D-sub, you are indeed correct that you need a VGA cable for that. This usually limits the display to the native resolution of the TV, so thats why i need the type / brand of you tv screen
thats correct, you could have said: "he written down in his first post that he is coming from win xp, so you are not 100% correct when you are saying, Vista to Win 7, 30 fps drop"
sound much more friendly that "What does vista has got to do with it !!!"
to me it looks like that the pc is not 100% up to date , but that shouldnt be a problem for lfs.
i have the feeling that you are getting the fps drop because the ram is coming short.
you mind want to take a look at task manager to see or this might be the problem.
( you can open task manager by holding ctrl-alt-del > start task manager,
you are searching for the 4th tab)
some easy trick is too press start icon > type dxdiag > press enter (it should now open a diagostic tool for DirectX, if you click on "save all information" you will get a .txt file with all your hardware / drivers in it. you mind want to attach the txt file on the forum
