first i copied the embed code, and lfsforum.net wouldnt have it, so i just got rid of all the code except the URL. it plays on it's own for some reason, not sure why.
i think the longest he stays on the track is about 10 seconds, thats when he's looking over the wheel to find out that there's a wall heading straight for him
???
Why should demo users not be treated the same?
You have no idea of Kova.'s age, experience, if he plays online or if he has the money to spend, and he just wants some skins. Instead, all he's got is some guy saying that to make requests you need to pay for s2. I've never heard that rule.
Announcement from Scawen =
I think it's fair to just keep what you think to yourself. Someone might make him some helmet / suit files, and since they cant be viewed by other racers I think that Kova is the one enjoying the game the most! Just having a cool suit can be fun - try it.
The worst is when you alt tab quickly before the race restarts, to check on something then your wheel un-calibrates without you knowing.... until the restart where you realise
Well my wheel goes crazy if i let go, the force feedback goes side to side until the car is uncontrolably weaving.. so if i get a drink or do something with my hands i hold the wheel still with my forehead!
Hows about we dont worry about the oil leaking into the pistons & the float not floating, since LFS doesnt use that, i would assume it just uses 'force X spins wheels'
If it does actually simulate explosions in the engine in every piston crankshaft butterfly carb and exhaust then I apologise (and respect this game 5000% more )
Dont spend millions redesigning the engine then, simply make some sort of pivot that allows it to always stay the right way up, or mount it upside down =D
Wow, a very intelligent, informative & generally mature series of replies! I only posted this morning
I apologise to anybody that thought I was asuming Scawen & co. arent doing enough work, since they are,
(please kindly recall the recent patch Z with AMAZING interiors in the XF and XR cars, (I found a fire extinguisher during a race the other day and nearly crashed! Shift+U in offline and take a full look around the inside of the cars) a new fantastic replay controlling device which helps movie makers like me an incredible amount, and physics updates)
It's just that I wanted to see what the response would be like if I put something involving more money into question. Some have said that even a small amount of money would not be affordable or botherable but i'll stress again the amount of registered forum members, (No one seems to have picked up on that). Thanks for the discussion! Please dont turn it into an arguement.
I've seen about 20 threads now that all ask for the devs to make more cars, tracks, weather options and graphic updates and the response always seems to be that they're too busy, and it would take too much time. Now, heres a crazy thought that i'm having, my clock is showing 00.56 so sorry if some of this doesnt make sense i'll edit tomorrow;
There are 29,742 registered users on the lfs forum, but realisticly, lets say half of them, around 15,000 are still playing.
If they all paid a few pounds/dollars/euro to have some new things like a track & a few cars, or any of the other discussed things such as car parts falling off & weather, think of the money that could be made. (!!!!!)
Just a thought. I know i'd be willing to pay a fiver to see more frequent updates I'm just thinking that if i was offered a cash prize of (say the 15000 pay £2 each) ~~£30,000 I might feel more inclined to make myself even more proud of lfs, this wonderful addiction that Thousands play every day.
(I'm not ungrateful, or impatient with lfs, I just had this idea )
Herts Racing Test tracks you could call them. Tell me if you use them i'll come on, only reason i dont host them is becuase nobody comes on autox servers much
If you do use and anyone asks please say that I made them & not yourself
Thanks for the comments guys =D As I said I didnt spend much time doing this one, but I appriciate the comments nevertheless. Some parts make me feel proud, and even excited, but other scenes are embarrasing tbh. Syncing with the music is what i have been focusing on over the last few videos, so i have overlooked other factors of great movie making
We're a new team, still trying to find more members so expect more cars with team skins in the future; the team has skins, just not many people to race with on ourserver! At the moment as yu've probably guessed some clips were from "AI use player skin=yes" and Ctra, but as the herts racing server becomes *crosses fingers touches wood" more popular, and skins are used more I'm sure it will make a big difference.
I'll get the higher quality version on MediaFire asap, then you can gain better audio & video quality. At the intro there is actually the sounds of TBO cars reversed, and the cool noise you heard when my name comes up is actually the noise when a message pops up in-game.. understand? Clever eh? :eclipseeh If you crank your speakers right up you might hear it, but IMO wait for HQuality
