I do a little skinning but i find it really hard, i use Photoshop elements 6 which came installed with my laptop but as i said, it's difficult. Do i make layers for each panel of the car, or just work on it all at once?
Does anyone here design skins for teams? If not don't worry i'll be doing my Team's one soon. Just thought 'd ask, since there's some amazing stuff in this thread !
Ah no problems now guys i've just downloaded a later logitech package from thier site, and now all is functioning correctly. I was running an xp installation on vista, so FF wasnt working =] thanks anyway for your reply xactik
Only had it since March, now im using it on my new laptop (vista) but it's lacking the power it used to bash out at me when i first got it.
I havent tried it on my pc since, cant be bothered pc is breaking.
Two of my team mates both got the same wheel - Logitech Formula Force EX - and it used to turn around by itself and vibrate and make a load of noise, now even if i let go it cant turn itself very powerfully, it just lazily turns back to the default postion ( 0 degrees )
any known fixes? or have i not installed drivers or something? I can just plug it into my laptop and it works, but i havent installed the logitech cd and profiler would that make any difference?
I'm renting a Operating system Linux web server for my websites, can i run a dedicated host off of it? i'm currently trying, i've uploaded contents of LFS_S2_DEDI_Z from lfs.net to my host and now i'm stuck it's probably not possible is it?
if i cant do this i'll be ordering a server tonight, but i'd prefer to learn myself rather than let money handle it!
Herts Racing Team, (pronounced 'Hearts', it's not spelt wrong keep reading) is a small live for speed racing team based in Hertforshire, England. We aim to race fast & fair, with fellow members helping each other out during races, and are currently expanding.
Our team is brand new, we currently have two three four members, including
Visit our site now to apply, www.hertsracing.co.nr at the forums. We are in need of fair racers who are dedicated, fast and have lfs 'knowledge'. Clean racing plays a large role in our team, we have a reputation to live up to, and that's podiums not Shift-S (spectating).
New members can be any age, and have intrests in the UF1 ('Mini') UFR & UF-BR (faster 'mini' & 'limited') the FBM (Formula BMW) and have raced with any of the CTRA servers at least 10 times. You will be classed as a full member after a week of good forum usage, a great display of racing and preferably friendlyness!
Herts Racing is currently looking for a dedicated server, since using our own non-permanent one's mean you can only connect when we're online, so that's only about 10hours a day/night. If you would like to help out with this please contact on these forums or on Herts racing forums, and you'll become a respected member of the team & get advertising on our Site and forums.
Nice drifting Tonttula, and that's a cool layout video needs a bit of work on quality and timing w/music but otherwise i think the content's fine.
bigcheese - You're someone who needs to think a little. why do you insist on assuming no-one else has feelings? Squid's comments are fair, he talks about problems with the video but you are offensive without knowing it. This guy will come back on to see if he's got any comments and the first thing he see's is "I'm gonna go home and have a heartattack".
I'm not going to look back on this thread because an argument will start, so don't bother replying.
My slaptop's about to run out of battery and im not at home/dont have a cable but i've downloaded it and am going to attempt to play as much as possible!
i race karts. sorry for the most unbelivably huge bump ever, (2006) hehe but i was looking for other karters online, then decided it would be easier to make a search on here instead
hate. dirt. racing. except. rally. lol im confused
i would votefor getting rid of that building from where it is now, but moving it some place else like near the pointless unuseable kart track area. actually, come to think about it, would'nt it be better to remove everything large from outside the racing area to make track loading times faster, and maybe reduce lag? having less objects would mean less computing power required? i dont know if im right dont screw at me hehe just an idea
i played on a cruise server for about 5 seconds then hated it, then i went on one that had built thier own set of roads and junctions on autocross, and hated that too because it was done so badly,
but the other night i was bored & so made this layout. it's not based on any real places i just improvised, but i ran out of pieces so it ends abruptly, but i think it's fantastic. Some one host it so i can use it with others doing police chases or something it would be fun
follow the road markings, it's a Uk city so drive on the left
im leaving it on, since it only pops up when i try to install something, or open a downloaded file over 1GB.
I think it's quite a good idea of microsofts, since if the popup ever came up when i didnt do anything to 'provoke' it then i would know that someone was trying to control my pc via the Internet. (happened to my mate after about 6 hours of leaving an old PC on with no security software connected to internet (as a test) )
That was off topic to this post, but dont worry anyone else as i've fixed my problem
im trying to upgrade to patch Y on my new laptop, and i cant do it. i'm not a beginner to lfs im posting here because i thought that any other beginners on Vista may get this problem too.
When i download i select a mirror, then it goes 0 to 100% twice, then displays:
DOWNLOAD: could not save file
Which is irritating me alot since i cant play online on my laptop...
any solutions? ive looked around on the forums a little but really want to get online
i copied my lfs folder from my pc when i first got the laptop, now im downloading it direct from the lfs site and will install from there to see if this version is patch Y
