I have been working away for the last 10 months so haven't had time to arrange the annual Kart Meet this year, so apologies for that.

What I am hoping to do though is organise a meet at my place again, probably in September some time for a weekend. There would be no Karting but to replace that I will make sure I have my Oculus Rift DK2 by then and working in LFS! Also I am sure I will have plenty of other demo's and games working in the Rift for you to try.

If you are interested in coming, then please let me know. I will have to limit the number to 30 people though.

I have had no problems joining or finding servers.

I always knew the ****** version. Not at anytime in my whole life did I view it as racist. Did I think of it as racist against blacks? No. We were brought up on a simple nursery rhyme and the ****** part meant absolutely nothing to me. It is exactly the same as the golliwog, to me when i was a child it was simply a black doll. The racism which might have been part of the original term, were completely lost on my generation. My generation are the ones bringing up the new generation and in no way would the top gear comments affect them.

I personally think it is a witchhunt, by politically correct people who don't care about real racism.

My initial reaction is pure horror but after spending 10 minutes thinking about it, they are willing to spend 2 billion on a technology that most of us here on this forum, scawen included, realise is the future. No matter what, no matter what price occulus comes at, from this point, vr has the financial backing and will succeed. If they are too expensive or not good enough, someone will do better.
