For me this suggestion sounds like waste of time.
At least when talking about starting from the pits or denying the wrongway driving.
The only difference I can see here is it would take more time to get the actual hotlap started. And the tires will get heated one way or the other anyways.
The slider thing for prewarming the tires with the current system when you´re starting from the last split of the track, I do agree.
I just bought myself a "new" momo, secondhand tho.
And this new one has the same problem as I had in the old one, and that was the main reason I bought a new one in the first place.
The squeeking comes when ever I turn the wheel, with the old wheel it took sometime to get the sound when the FF-motor was cold, but with this new one the sound comes right when you just turn it. a bit lower volume before warming the FF-motor tho.
So far I´ve tried to tighten the FF-motor screws (two of them)
that didn´t help at all.
I have a sample, there I´m in LFS without any FFB and just turning the wheel left to right.
So if anyone with some idea, could help me a bit here, I´d be grateful.
^^ the FXR actually eats tires the most from my experinces, at least when speaking the R2 compound.
And think again about the fuel consumption, if the FXR and XRR has the same engine, but the FXr weights more, which one will eat more fuel?
at least thats how it is supposed to go, and I think I´m not totally wrong if I say that the 4wd somehow makes it to use more fuel to get the same distance than XRR, some otherway than just the extra weight.
