most dont have winches, thats definately true around me..

and i was raised american, with a dad who works for an american car dealership, with a clear bias to american..i saw passed the american barrier and i dont prefer one country over another, i could drive a toyota, nissan, fiat,, ect..but my brother made me fall in love with this truck, and i came here searching for anything i overlooked before i start saving up and get my mind truely set on it.

i REALLY hate that accent...and that isnt the part of america to have a jacked up truck with a useless winch
they are more into having the biggest piece of junk they can find and gloating that they can make it run forever, with duct tape and wd-40

around me might be the right place to find the jacked up truck with the winch, but havent seen any that are quite as bad as mentioned

my driveway=icy in winter, 2wd wont get it out the day after a snow storm...other then a winch (cause it would be pointless) what can i do to get it consistantly out? do i just need to wait it out til im plowed, or are there any tricks. like i could carry a tow strap, and attach to trees and pull myself up with the help with someone tightening tension, and someone driving

why would i raise and put a winch on a truck with almost no true gvw, and its close to the height of a car.

you assume im going to drive like a cock, but why would i do that?

its something like motox mayhem, and try to change the spaces around to find it...there is a free version to try it out.

EDIT: and as a challenge when i beat those games, i always just try to wheelie past all the levels, with mx mayhem its easy, for stunt biker, not so much :scared:

first off, this truck is NOT a big truck by any means!

its comparable to the chevy s10. not a real truck by any means, just a lightweight chassis with a bed cabable enough to get you through most of what you need, with a light payload.

being lightweight in nature, and designed partially to be sporty, sure the corners i will fail, and the straights i still might not do as great as i want, but trackdays are meant for fun...am i wrong? il take what i have, and if thats what i have, then thats what i will get.

insurance (for the company i called) said that the insurance is mainly decided through the crash test ratings. they said mainly $$ owed = trucks<suv's<sedans<coupes<roadsters (i feel like i missed a type of bodystyle :schwitz

and me owning a 'huge' truck instead of a sedan will do what?

why cant a truck run forever? you expect me to beat the living hell outta my engine? im going to maintain the engine exactly how it will need to be, and if something breaks, i will fix it. why wouldnt this thing last as long as i need it?

cheap to fill up? i plan to save almost every penny i make just to buy this truck, and continue to save every penny (i never spend any money anyways) just cause i love driving, and understand it takes money. so gas prices dont really matter to me, as long as i get more then like..12 mpg average, which i know that truck can easily do.

as for easy to drive, the hardest thing about driving a truck like this is the transmission which is a manual, and this isnt a problem.
ever try backing up a truck? its the easiest thing possible, for backing up's standards.
driving forward is easy enough too, as long as i know what the little line in the middle of the road means. what else could i ask for for easy to drive?
its not like its a dualie?

i got a quote for around $135 a month, thats (rips out calc)

$1620 a year for that exact truck (give or take 4x4)

that really isnt too bad?

oh i care about going faster then 80 mph

until i get an actual car, thats what im gonna have to use for track days
logitekg25

oh then try the dirtbike one too

and i am so tempted to buy some of the new levels

fuel economy isnt horrendously bad..the truck is pretty light.

but we have spare vehicles, so if it gets overly bad then i use one that is better on gas.

im going to have to start off saving up for a car soon, and i was looking into what i should get for a first car/truck

obviously a bmw is not ideal for a first, no matter how bad i want it..so i was thinking for a very first i could get a Dodge Dakota. it would be from the generation 1997-2003, cause thats the body style i want, and it is the overall best deal imho.

i would need it to be the 5 speed manual, club cab, preferably with the long bed (not sure how long that is), and with the 5.2L v8.

if the deal comes and it is 2x4 then il get that, otherwise id rather 4x4..but finding it how i want it is going to be hard as it is

any thoughts, or experiences with this vehicle? cant find anything but good things about it, and with my dad a dodge mechanic of 20+ years i cant see much going wrong with it.

any other suggestions, i need at least a bit of power, manual, passenger room, cheap insurance, and versatility. (and fun)

truth behind it is people rarely get hit by cars here...that sounds right too..even in the most crowded cities people stick to crosswalks, and sidewalks

it looks nice, and is really the least if your concerns if you get hit by a car..i think id care more about the car's weight then a little metal that sticks out a half inch

if you get hit by the bumper, it will give a quarter inch, cause its designed to hit other cars, not a lightweight human.

if you walk into it and you get more then a bruise, you have osteoperosis, need calcium, or need muscles.

i see cars and trucks (mainly trucks) with all metal bumpers, and sometimes boxed steel bumpers, that are basically the same thing, only much bigger, and sharper. should those trucks get burned, or drive around with no bumpers?

i thought this was a forum filled with car people, not a forum filled with safety offocials

dont update, with every update they make it harder to jailbreak cause they dont like it.

and 5 icon dock looks more natural imo, and i was going to say something else but i forget

made sense in my head, but im probably missing a comma, and the way i spaced it is weird

translation*

the tow hook probably has some weight keeping it wanting to stay down, unless you hit a big bump, or go upside down. if you try it, it feels kinda stiff (probably), similar to if you needed to lube the joints, but with a more natural feel, cause its suppossed to look like that.

the truck i want to be my first truck
(sporty, useful, good-ish looking, fun)

1997-2003 Dodge Dakota crew cab with the 5.2L v8 (5.9L is overkill) with the 5 speed manual, and maybe 4 wheel drive, doesnt matter though.

maybe not for lfs though
logitekg25

i imagine it has some weight to it, and it has a feel that makes it not want to move

kinda like needing to lube the joints, but feels more natural, and like it is suppossed to be like that.

dont listen to these clowns

so if i remember you have the 8gb model. apple jews you outta everything good with the 8gb model. like with mine, it had less good hardware, and was not fast even without the jailbreak.

with the new ipod touch not sure. anyways..

i would do it, cause if you want you dont have to customize anything and it is there. but there are so many apps you can get when it is jailbroken.

so i got themes as the first thing i did. with winterboard, you can make a few themes work at once, so i made "killsignsuperblack" and "killsigncarbonblue" work at the same time, looked amazing.

i got a 5 icon dock which looks better. sb settings, which just makes everything better, instant brightness, wifi, bluetooth, and whatever else at the tip of your fingertips. (best app)
no docked icon labels, which makes the ipod assume you know what you put on the bottom, and not label them.
changed up my sliders (slide to unlock, slide to power off ect..) which was cool
black navigation bars. not sure what this did, but i did it (i have a txt doc. saying what i did incase i do it again)
nocyfresh which made cydia faster because it refreshes all the time, and it takes so long and is not needed.
i modded some files that made my old 8gb able to multitask (hardware sucked too much to do that stock), but yours can without doing this

you can look up more, but this is what worked for me. you can make it faster by changing some images that did nothing, so just search around for advice.
