Quote from mutt107 :everyone is asking cause they are like "Mutt107 asked for something so i should ask so people forget about him asking for something"

and what does this little episode tell you? Never give anything to anyone, as every sod whos slightly worse off than you will try it on, as will people just wanting to exploit your sensitive side.

Quote from Woz :ROTF. Would be nice to send house bricks and the like but I think there is limits to what postage paid allows you to send.

as long as something has enough postage on it there is no limit as far as I know. You can even just superglue the postage paid label and address onto a brick and send it in the post

Forget just mailing back the letters to them if you are lucky enough to get an addressed envelope. Cut out the address from the envelope, fill a box with cut up tyres, engine parts, bricks etc and send it to them, will cost you nothing as it's 'postage paid' but they still have to pay, and then dispose of it.

There is snow to the north of us. There is snow to the east of us. There is snow to the south of us. But still Oxford has no snow, only sleet and rain. A few miles down the road towards Reading they are getting bucketfuls of the stuff, and all that is gonna happen to us tonight is the wetness on the ground will freeze and it will be like an ice rink tomorrow

Quote from flymike91 :Is the mainstream media reporting about Connolley yet? I haven't been by a tv in a while. This sounds like the kind of theing they'd whitewash though.

Absolutely not a peep from the MSM about Connolley yet. It's exactly the sort of thing they don't want people hearing

Quote from Klutch :I think Louis Walsh completely missed the entire point of what the facebook campaign were trying to do..

Simon Cowell is also butthurt about it but still missing the point of what it was trying to do.

Quote from Silverracer :I just might have misunderstood that statement, but almost 10 million votes were cast over the final weekend.

Sure, loads of people hate the X Factor et al, but still 10 million is quite a lot of people who were arsed to vote...

http://www.heraldscotland.com/ ... e-x-factor-final-1.992127

Sure 10 million votes were cast, but what proportion of those votes were duplicates from people who voted twice, thrice or even 20 times?

Lets see...

Had my first encounter with the front of a car
Did so much better in my exams than last year
Got out more
Became a much better photographer
Screwed up a good friendship
Got addicted to urban exploration....
...which led to my first encounter with guard dogs

But...

...I still lack a girlfriend
I lost my granddad to old age plus numerous illnesses
I'm more pessimistic than ever
I'm becoming much more outspoken!

Quote from Greboth :I hope some of those who have joined in (who didn't previously know the song or the meaning) will find it out. If this happens to even only a few it is a good thing IMO. Also more publicity for RATM is never a bad thing either

all we will have now is thousands of 13/14 year olds who think that having bought that song off iTunes or whatever it qualifies them as extreme anarchists rebelling against everything and everybody, like DevilDare just said

something of major importance to this debate...

How Wikipedia’s green doctor ... te 5,428 climate articles

what is shocking is the scale, thousands upon thousands of articles changed by pro-AGW fanatics

"U.K. scientist and Green Party activist William Connolley — would take on particularly crucial duties.

Connolley took control of all things climate in the most used information source the world has ever known – Wikipedia. Starting in February 2003, just when opposition to the claims of the band [Hadley Centre, CRU etc] members were beginning to gel, Connolley set to work on the Wikipedia site. He rewrote Wikipedia’s articles on global warming, on the greenhouse effect, on the instrumental temperature record, on the urban heat island, on climate models, on global cooling. On Feb. 14, he began to erase the Little Ice Age; on Aug.11, the Medieval Warm Period. In October, he turned his attention to the hockey stick graph. He rewrote articles on the politics of global warming and on the scientists who were skeptical of the band. Richard Lindzen and Fred Singer, two of the world’s most distinguished climate scientists, were among his early targets, followed by others that the band especially hated, such as Willie Soon and Sallie Baliunas of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, authorities on the Medieval Warm Period. Quote from Intrepid :
ANyone gone way off topic. Anyone got any more news snippets

"Climate nut Brown will ruin Britain"

"The cuts are likely to require controversial measures such as more wind turbines, road pricing and green taxes.

A Treasury spokesman yesterday defended Mr Brown’s offer, saying: “We believe there are considerable economic advantages in investing in green technologies and being at the forefront of them.” "

i.e. advantages needed because of the crippling effect of promising billions of pounds of money we don't have to nations who can't pay it back, totally ignoring the shambles we are in at the present time
