Really? I thought they were somewhat popular in the touring scene. If ya don't like it, then think of it as the car giving you the middle finger ^^

Quote from M.Mos :This is awesome work!

I think the Doormirrors could need a little rework.

And the wheels look to big. Factory rims where 7.5x16" yours look like 17" or 18".
The rims came in 3 colors. Silver, 'Nagarosilver' or black.

Hey m8, I agree with everything you said, thanks. I originally had black rims, but I chose to make my rims silver

What picture did you show me? lol. Yeah, I agree with you about the rim material. I just checked some refs I had and now I know what to do.

Oh, and yes, I am glad that I modeled those head lights. In fact, when I began this project even the blinkers were textures, and I didn't even have fog lights. Now all the lights are there, in the form of geometry :P

Believe me it has been ages lol! I really don't have the strength to model an engine and all those mechanical parts tbh heh

Still tweaking this current scene so stay seated!

Here, I think I like it better with the wheel turned inwards (that way you see the rim better!) Observe:

Thanks all for nice replies. After I take a break from this, next step is to render it with the seats and dash visible from same camera.

Hey folks, long time no see! Basically here's the deal, I've been working on this M3 since December on and off. Finally happy with my clean rendering skills so I thought I'd share my progress here.

Quote from XCNuse :maybe you were lagging severely?

Forgot to mention that it has been happening for over a month, so I am pretty sure it isn't massive lag.

Quote from Davo :Firewall?

Only firewall is from windows and it is off. All I got is a router.

Yeah, but I do not have a copy of rfactor because thats another 50$ i would have to spend on another racing sim. I'll just hope that lfs will support 3rd party addons untill then, if not then i will turn my attention to rfactor.

thanks for replies

A new render, this time simulating the appearance of the car being under a tree.

If you look closely you will see some dead bugs on the front bumper!

yeah its just the rims that are more complex than lfs, the tire itself is accually lower than the ones in lfs.

who is Kegetys? and would it be possible to get it in s2?

I'd also like to see a fairly representable M5 in LFS if not the whole package

the car is 20880 triagles, yes it is over LFS standards but I think that most computers could handle it (as long as there arent a large number of people driving it).

thanks for coments felles, the model was created in 3dmax 8 for those who were wondering.

Yeah you can do that but there is a disadvantage to it because you can't take multiple pics at a time. Pressing print screen will overwrite the previous pic you did unless you were bothered enough to stop what you were doing in LFS to save the pic... though right now that is your only choice

Hi there, started this baby last week as a personal project. I made this car to test my own abilities in the modeling, skinning, and lighting setup fields. There are still some things to be done on the skin, just small details so I won't bother mentioning them. Anyway hope you like the model as much as I do..

Hello, I've seen many great renders from the forum members and have wondered how do they import LFS material into 3d max. So my question is how do you import models/tracks into 3d max? Does the version matter? I am using 3d max 8 so I hope that is okay.
