this is the best deal you will find for the 2 sites you wanted and in your price range from the 2 links you posted with other cards. and will smoke those other cards by a big margin.

doesnt work. a fridge is for cooling something with no heat dump so therefore you would over power the fridges potential and possibly burn up the fridge. it would work for short time benchs to have good temp but for long time use it will cause problems.

yes they would do better. look at this and see if you find something you like.

what power psu do you have and what 7 series cards?

waste gate is what keeps the boost at a certain psi along with the boost controller or running off waste gate spring and is located on the turbo manifold near the turbo. the blow off valve is on the charge pipe usually by the intake and throttle body and when ur in boost and let off the gas it opens so the boost drops going into the intake cuz the turbo is still spinning and producing boost right after you let off the gas so it doesnt lean out the motor and blow it up. to much air and not enough gas is very bad.

rfactor is just as good as lfs imo. it just matters wut mods you try out and how you like them. in rfactor you will find me on wcorr, orr2, and vorra mostly as the offroad is fun. there are some good ones and some very bad ones.

yes it does work i dont know why it wouldnt work for me they always have work when i linked something but this time it didnt. o well so what did you do jakg and i take it by your post you kept the 8800gt and sold the gtx. how do if so how do you like the gt.

um last i remember the 8800gt is faster than the 8800gtx. the 8800gtx is g80 core and the 8800gt is the newer g92 core and with an over clock on the gt it will be the same performance. here ya go its pretty close almost same fps and scores at 1900x1200 res and the gt will take less power and be cooler. if i were you i would sell the gtx and keep the gt as its quieter, less power and less heat and performs the same as the gtx.

firstly, the Dell dimension 4700 has 512mb of ram stock, so at $12 per 1GB, I recommended he buy 3 at that price and throw the 512 away. DUH!

secondly, the PSU you posted will not run the 8800GTS due to the lack of a 6 pin power connector needed

funny if you would have looked at his cpuz txt file he has 2gb of kingston so he doesnt need it so....(and if running 3 stick witch is stupid because it makes the ram run at single channel and not dual channel like 2 or 4 sticks would run meaning dual channel is faster) the psu will run it cuz the videocard comes with a 4 pin molex to 6 pin and will work with a psu with a 6 pin or no 6 pin. and about the motherboard and cpu thing i showed him a setup that was $100 under his budget that will perform great and get what he needs to get from it meaning more than 100fps in lfs plus not to mention other good games with great graphics he can get. shows how much you know and the research you did lmfao

edit: the 9800gtx is close to the 8800gts 320 in performance. unless your talking about the 9800gtx+ witch is faster than both by a bigger margin

there is nothing hard about changing the cpu it just pops out of the board after you take the heatsink off you flip the lever and your cpu is out. not to mention he would have a nice computer with what i just posted for $100 under his budget to save him money and everything would work good. and why would he buy 3 stick of ram do you even know what your talking about. he has enough ram and doesnt need to upgrade it. either run 2 or 4 stick for dual channel. and if he did buy the setup i posted he would only be using the 2 1gig sticks of kingston he has and not the 512 stick.

a normal psu will not work with a dell motherboard as dell makes them different for this reason. they want you to buy there dell psu upgrade witch is a rip off. the motherboard will not go in another case either as what others said the holes are different. it would be good just to do an entire upgrade

ok the idea of fixing it and making it right is ok for me. i can deal with waiting np. but one thing i DO NOT like is the fact that there will only be a few adjustments. this could maybe be a turn off for others to i guess we will just have to see when it comes.
