Quote from Amynue :When you don't have enough funds on your PayPal account it asks you to add a Credit Card to your PayPal account...

But you don't pay until May when it is delivered, so Paypal is not gonna ask you for any founds, for now.

As much as like sim racing... there are so many things I'd rather do with 750 Euros at the moment. No, thanks.

I have upgraded as soon as I read the email this morning, so I am not going to complain, thanks for the work, you have my support. However, in order to improve graphics and make them more eatable for 2015 I think what we need is to at least triple the ampount of polygons per car...

Although S3 content is already being developed, we cannot provide a guarantee that it will be released

So there is a chance that LFS dies with this last update and we don't see any further development, that is what I understand from this

I am going to try the new patch right now but msy purchase has been more a support than an investment for myself. And please, do not waste time with the Scirocco...

Quote from Kid222 :The AC's garage is slowly becoming Gran Turismo-like...

As a car enthusiast I still think GT does something better than anyone else: the ownership of the cars.

Other than that, AC is number 1 at the moment.

I am loving it, I don't see myself playing any other racing sim after this. LFS engine sounds are awful and graphics wise it's just meh, iRacing feels dull as hell, no driving pleasure at all, and tire noise is a joke. I don't play online so I don't care about the all time awarded and praised LFS net code. So yes, it is worth every cent.

Thanks for the info! GTX980 here. I will try Nvidia Inspector, I am getting like 90/100fps average right now so I have some room. Cheers.

Finally got a new rig that can max out AC, just have to wait for the steering wheel to come available. Meanwhile I've been testing the game and I gotta say I am kinda disapointed with the graphics in general, especially AA filter. Any tips? And something really annoying are those shitty leaf reflections on the windscreen in some tracks depending on the light that cause flickering. Is there a way to get rid of them?

It's still cheaper than a good 3 monitor setup, so probably well worth it. Money is not an issue, the big question is if it will work or not, since these are the first generation of VR devices.

Quote from NitroNitrous :if it wasn't for the GPU (9800m GTS) I could play any current game on high settings with no problem

I call bullshit on that....

What is your GPU? Just curious Confused

I have an Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme in my 6 years old laptop, combined with 8Gb of ram and an SSD and I must say, if it wasn't for the GPU (9800m GTS) I could play any current game on high settings with no problem. It handles everything else like a boss, even my 3D modeling software and rendering, so it is true that it will be up to the level. Just make sure you get it dirty cheap though.

A friend of mine just got himself a second hand 4970k, 16Gb DDR3 1666, GTX980, SSD 512 Gb, 3Tb HDD, Gigabyte mATX mobo, Noctua cooler, BeQuiet PSU and 27" screen for just 1200 Euros (around £900?). So I think a decent machine is quite afordable nowadays in the second hand market, no need to get such an old platform. I would try to get the best CPU and GPU available withing your budget, that is what you need for sim racing. The rest is not that important, you can invest in a proper wheel.
