You can mix the power supplies, but you have tou avoid it when possible, and in your case, is possible. Besides, I would never use a 350W old psu in a new computer.
450W is just in the limit of a new and powerful computer. I have a 600W Zalman and I use around 460W at full load (specs in my signature). And Watts is not the main thing in a PSU (it's like the megapixles in a camera). The 12V lines and their amperage goes first
One last thing, avoid the cheap and crappy ones. PSU is more important than people thing...
For that you need at least a nice 800W psu in order to keep the system safe. Keep in mind this is like a car. Take a Renault Twingo to the highway at 150km/h for a long trip, constant speed, and it will be hot, the fuel compsuption will be "huge" and the engine will suffer. Do the same with a 911 in 6th gear and you'll be fine.
Exactly, because the rest of the designers who I have to compete with and the chief designer are trained people as well. So that was my point: they will understand the design and appreciate any small difference, but the customer won't. So why that effort? That's something I'll ask to one of my teachers next day
Wrong. Details is the last part, when the 75% of the job is done. The key are the proportions.

iPhone is a good looking phone with an excellent interface while a device with Windows Mobile is less atractive, you can not do everything with your fingers and runs slower, but at least is useful
Mine had a problem with the motherboard. There were some problems with the spare parts supply so finally the store is giving me my money back.
So now I need a new one, but nothing in the market right now seems to be interesting for me. HTC have some stupid details in their design (microSD car under battery cover, etc), Android is still to new... I'll wait for new models...
I agree with the other part but this is sadly wrong Car designers are idiots, because they could earn much more designing yatchs, furnitures, condoms or bikes. And is much easier to get a job in those areas as well. So, why cars then? Just because for us doing what we love is more important than money
Exactly, and that's why for example the game here in the forum "Guess the car" is a piece of cake for me while for some guys is really hard.
I think you're designer right? That's why you understand my point
To be honest the only similar thing I see is that all of them are cars Usually people only see and understand the basic shape of a car and some graphics, but for me there is much more than that, proportions is the key of any design and not everybody understand it. And that's why I was wondering that, because is pointless to waste time doing something that the average customer will never understand
If you think it's beautiful or it's awful is your opinion and it's up to you, but when something is not similiar to something is not an opinion, it's a fact.
Yeah I'm a car designer student so I know how it works We also have to fight against ergonomist everyday
Sometimes I wonder why teachers want me to think so much about design and to do a lot of research if at the end of the day customers (you) don't understand anything and end up with comments like these :zombie:
I can speak Spanish with 3 different accents: canario, aragones and neutral. I can switch between all of them in just 0.000001s. That's because I've lived in many cities around Spain and I get accents quite easily. Now living in Italy I'm starting to get the Torinese accent
That's because of the fov. One of the main things which help you to feel the speed are the sides of the road passing fast. The problem is, with a single screen is not possible to see the sides as you'd do in real life. Try to adjust the fov to lets say 20 degrees and drive your car at 200kph. It looks like if you were parking the car at 0.5kph. Some other games add fake effects like motion blur, inexistent vibrations, etc to compensate this lack, but we know how LFS is so we don't want that. 3 screens is a good solution
And yeah, I have the same story when I talk someone about LFS
I have tried this game many many times, since the first version. The developmet is even slower than LFS and even though the idea is cool, I have never enjoyed it. Last version is 0.8.7 Beta but IMO it should be called 0.000001 Alpha since looks as unfinished as it did 5 years back.
Hopefully someday will be more enjoyable because I really like the concept, but is in a too early stage for me
