I am rather impressed by Virgin so far. They have had some reliability issues but the fastest time they posted so far was juat above 3 seconds off the fastest time posted by McLaren. For a car that is done purely in CFD, and havent had any proper running, it was rather impressive. I was expecting them to be 4-5seconds off but they have done a pretty good job so far.
People all expected this apple tablet to be revolutionary and game-changing before the announcement. When Apple introduce a product anything less than "OMG WHOA I WANT ONE OF THOSE", they will start saying how sh!t Apple and find a million reasons to hate it.
The Apple iPad is an improved version of all the tablets that failed in the past decade. It might be expensive, it might be simple, but that's the Apple way. It always has been. People are complaining about 3G optional. Let's be honest, would you REALLY take the iPad on the subway for a video conferencing or something? The majority of consumers don't need that functionailty, which is why they make it optional.
Wait til the release of iPhone OS 4.0 before you make up your mind on the iPad. The multi-tasking issue can easily be solved through the new OS 4.0.
I agree with you cause I am one of those people :S But unfortunately as long as people keep buying these stuff, companies will continue to make these stuff and sell it.
The thing is, iPad is never meant to replace our notebook (which is why iPad syncs with iTunes). It is to fill in the gap between your phone and your laptop. The iPhone is too small for reading and emailing while you are sitting on the couch, and the laptop is just way too big/heavy. That is the market the iPad is designed for. People uses their netbooks as their 2nd/3rd device, and iPad is meant to replace the netbooks. Like I said, the netbooks is never a success because their are ridiculously slow. They may have a decent atom processor, but the OS/apps they are running were designed for processors that are a lot powerful than the Atom processor.
At first, I was massively disappointed due to the hype before the announcement. But now I am starting to like it. It is growing on me. I guess the only problem is the lack of multitasking, which I think will be fixed with iPhone OS 4.0. I reckon the reason why they didn't put a full Mac OSX is because OSX is not optimised for touch interface. The buttons are too small on OSX. Microsoft made that mistake with their tablets and failed miserably. Other than the interface, I think the iPad doesn't have enough power to run a full OSX anyways. With a pad this thin and light, running iPhone OS that smoothly is rather impressive. I don't really have a problem with the iPhone OS as long as Apple will fix the multitask problem. Other than that, I am quite happy with the iPad. I might get one when it comes out.
BTW, apple now allows VOIP call over 3G. So in theory people can make calls with their iPad (but i dont think anyone will, they would look stupid).
Players will need to be registered and logged in before they can enter the private game. When logged in, clicking the following URL will take you to the join game page:
Alternatively, you can select "private games" from the menu and enter the number "50135" into the box. The game password is "blackwood". Take care not to accidentally join a public game by mistake.
