Watching the BBC pre-show at the moment, Hamilton doesn't sound very happy with his team. He is implying the reason of his poor performance in China was because of his team.

Quote from DeKo :In the rookie series with fixed setups the Roadster is faster. With unlocked setups, the cup has a lot more adjustments and is almost identical with a decent setup. All they have to do is give the cup a better setup in the rookie series and the cars will be closer.

What's the actual difference between the two cars beside setups?

Actually i believe Roadster is quicker in both circuits. (correct me if I am wrong)

I don't mind the stewards penalising Hamilton. He did move more than once, however subtle it was. But my problem with the stewards is their inconsistency, Massa was way worse than Hamilton in Australia, and I am pretty sure Hamilton isn't the only one moved more than once. So either penalise everyone, or leave it alone.

This is what proper racing is, not some fancy stupid KERS+DRS.

Quote from reason0809 :actually its a gentlemens agreement not to change lines more than once (he did it 3 times in the video above). an FOM agreed to FIA that drivers can be penalized for actions like this. so the penalty for HAM & ALO are well deserved

I know that agreement exists. What I don't get is Hamilton wasn't only one weaving during the race, if you look closely at the other overtakes. Massa in Australia was a prime example. As long as the weaving wasn't major and completely obvious, I think we should just let the drivers do their thing.

FIA/FOA went to great lengths to promote overtaking, but when two of the best drivers went wheel to wheel, the stewards decided to give them both a penalty, which would only discourage drivers to defend their position.

If they want to penalise drivers for the tiny little weaving like Hamilton did today, then please be consistent and penalise everyone else.

Quote from BlueFlame :What? For a non championship deciding round? For 4th place? Don't think so bud, I hate Alonso, but it was a judgement error, if that looks like an intentional wreck to you then the Webber Kovalinen incident at Valencia should be too.

clearly alonso tried to take out lewis. jk

He was joking.

Quote from Bean0 :You are assuming the penalty for weaving is from the same incident as the contact. I think it will be for weaving on start/finish straight.

If that's the case, Massa should have been given a penalty in Australia. Massa did more weaving in Australia than Hamilton did today.

I am sorry but this is ridiculous. If Hamilton gets a penalty for weaving, then why the hell did Alonso get a penalty as well?

Hamilton did nothing wrong, Alonso misjudged the speed difference and ran into the back of Hamilton. It was a racing accident.

From Ferrari's official twitter:
"WE deserved the podium with Fernando...."

yeah no Ferrari. Alonso ran into the back of Hamilton. It was his mistake.

It doesn't. My account expired a few weeks ago, and iRacing send me an email telling me if I renew my subscription it would only costs 10 bucks for 3 months.

Are you seriously suggesting thousands of overseas visitors and the F1 teams should just camp out at Mt Panorama?

Besides the fact that Bathurst is in the middle of nowhere and can't provide enough accommodation for the hundreds of thousands of people that are going to the race.

The fastest I can go in Lime Rock is 59.1. I can consistently do 59.6 in a 20 laps race. But I have never done a 58.x. I am losing a lot of time in T1 T2 and T3.

BOTH Craig Lowndes and Jenson Button will do laps in the F1 car? I thought only Craig Lowndes is driving the F1 car while Jenson will be driving the V8 Supercar.

EDIT:
Quote :Event organisers say the F1 car’s lap times will not be recorded for safety reasons.

This is VERY disappointing.

Actually went ahead and bought this game the other day. It's pretty decent. The brakes are quite different to LFS so it took me a while to get used to, other than that it's a good sim.

The lack of progress isn't really LFS main problem. The biggest problem for LFS is the progress other sims have made over the years.

I started playing iRacing about a month ago, and iRacing just feels like it is in a completely different league. I know iRacing is also a lot more expensive, but in my opinion it's worth it's price. I can't even come back to LFS anymore. It's not the physics that's letting LFS down, but rather the amount of feedback LFS produces through the wheel. In iRacing I can feel every bump on the road and feel exactly which bump is kicking the back out.

I am not here to say how amazing iRacing is, I am just using it as an example to highlight the fact that LFS is really lagging behind compared to other sims. nK pro recently updated their game to include wet weather racing, rFactor 2 looks promising, iRacing continues to update their tire model and introduce more cars and tracks.

I have never been one of those people who complains about the lack of progress. But after playing another sim, I just don't see the point of waiting anymore.

There won't be a demo.

and apparently the single player campaign is only 5 hours long. So I am definitely not buying this.

Quote from mr grady :i agree 100%, but for me its what LFS hasnt done.
if they had looked into the career and stats system that iracing has, then i may have stuck with LFS.
IMO the devs should have gone the "dragons den" route and got major backing to make LFS into something amazing, and not just another racing sim.

I don't know. But when I went back to LFS, i thought my wheel was broken or something. I can't feel any bumps, I can't feel anything when my wheels lock etc.
