Like I have said many times, all of this is merely political. They don't give a shit about being green, but they do want to APPEARS to be green. Compared to the amount of fuel the cargo planes they used for transporting their equipments, the amount of fuel used for EBD is nothing.
fun fact: do you know a 747 uses approximately 2000kg of fuel just for taxi and take off?
Yeah I am not complaining at all. It was a stress test after all. I am just glad that I didn't wake up at 6 in the morning and didn't get to race at all :P
I am with you on this one. If it is a tenth or two quicker, then MAYBE (although this isvery ]unlikely since they are professional racing driver after all). But if it's a second then there is something off with the physics.
I think the marshall got there quickly, and they reacted rather quickly as well. But they should look at the fuel cell because it really shouldn't have bursted.
I bought the V8 supercars the other day and I must say it's a very tricky car to drive. It's very tail-happy, and the torque comes in one big lump after 5000rpm. But it's very good fun if you get it right.
The reason why the system punishes both drivers is because there is no way an automated system can fairly determine who is at fault. Even the stewards at an F1 grand prix can't do it right. So the next best thing is to publish both drivers.
Until someone can invent a system that punish the right driver, this is the next best thing.
so I have just installed the NIXIM brake mod, and I can MUCH MUCH more happier with the brakes now. I can now brake much later without locking the brakes.
I seriously recommend it if you haven't got it already!
Let me know where you can find an proper series for a total cost of less than a grand (including car, fuel, tyre and everything. and kart doesn't count). Then I'd happily ditch iRacing or LFS.
The truth of the matter is, iRacing is much better than LFS. Anyone denies that either has never tried iRacing or is an idiot. Whether you can justify the price is another matter. If you buy a one year subscription is only a couple bucks a month. I spend a lot more than that on drinks when going out with friends every week. If you have the money, iRacing is definitely the way to go.
netKar Pro's physics is very decent, but the small online competition is a bit of a letdown. You can pretty much forget about rFactor until the rFactor 2 is released.
so if you have a couple bucks to spare, then iRacing is the way to go (even without buying any extra tracks or car, it's worth it). Otherwise, stick with LFS.
