I am not sure if we were actually watching the same race. Button didn't DIVE down the inside like Hamilton did in Monaco. He was alongside Alonso the whole time. Anyone who knows anything about racing would know you can't just turn into such a tight chicane when there is a car on the inside.

I don't understand how people can blame Button for the Button-Alonso collision. The one with Hamilton, maybe. But Button was alongside Alonso as they entered the braking zone for the chicane. Button was always going to be there when the enter the chicane. Alonso just turned in onto Button and hope Button has magically disappeared.

We could have had a full Grand Prix during the red flags. The red flags went for 2 hours.

Button definitely won't get a penalty for the collision with Alonso. He was up the inside and alongside Alonso throughout the whole braking zone. It was a racing incident.

As for the collision with Hamilton, Hamilton (and McLaren) will make sure Button doesn't get penalised.

Whoa that was a breathtaking finish. My heartbeat was up to 140 in the final few laps. All the fingers-crossing finally paid off! (I was rooting for Vettel.... to crack under the pressure :P)

Hamilton just said on the BBC interview he thought he was half a car length next to Button.

He wasn't. His right front touched Button's left rear.

The way I see it is Hamilton was CLEARLY faster than Button at that stage. Button simply wasn't expecting Hamilton to try to go around the outside especially Button was on the normal line, and the fact that Button couldn't see out of his mirrors wasn't helping either. Hamilton was way too far behind to try and drive out the outside. If he was half a car length further up, then Button would be at fault. But Hamilton was too far back.

Obviously I am not Hamilton, but if I was him I would have stayed on Button's tail and nail Button into the inside of T1.

IMO Hamilton is too agressive when it comes to overtaking. You need to know when and where to overtake. You can't just stick your nose up next to someone and expect someone to jump out of the way.

I am a big Button fan. But I really don't know who's at fault :S

Hamilton went for a spot that is always going to disappear, but Button didn't give him any room. :S and Button is really struggling with front end grip.

I am so sick of all the BF3 vs MW3 "discussion" on the internet. It's like Windows vs Mac again. Especially when they are always so damn agressive when "discussing" which one is better. They are two different games, and no one is forcing you to buy it. Is it that hard to just play whatever you like? *sigh* I can't discuss anything MW3/BF3 related with my friends on facebook without someone chiming in and make some rude comments about "Blah blah blah is better".

After playing this game, I have the upmost respect for all rally drivers out there. (not that I didn't have any respect for them before)

It's is SO hard to pay attention to the road, listening to the pace notes (i can't keep up with it AT ALL) and concentrate on the driving at the same time. I like to consider myself to be at least decent in road racing, but I am just absolutely horrible at this game. I am driving with my eyes, instead of using both eyes AND ears. :S

Any tips?
