i have a problem, which has been happening on and off for a while now. we refer to it as "the blue screen", and it's never happened while we've been on the computer, we just mosey past and realise "the blue screen" has struck again. it hasn't happened for a while now *clutches his wooden chair*, but when it happens next, i'll take a photo and hope you can tell me what it means!

Yay, i'm not the only steam nerd! Every year i go to somerset with my grandparents, and every year i go on the west somerset railway with gramps, and every year i take too many photos! Maybe i'll post some when i get back (go in the summer hols, july some time i think). For now, here are some shots from my holiday in italy, taken on my brand new olympus tough 8000! (although the first one isn't in Italy!) Be nice!

Being fully literate doesn't make you "adult" or not, infact I know plenty of 40 and 50 year people (peers and mentors, friends of family, etc) that will still hit "hi how r u doing". I don't see you (Tristan, sorry to single you out but just using you for an example) picking on Jack (Jakg, again sorry to single you out, just another use of an example), when he types using capital letters, and full stops, and the like, but constantly puts "your" instead if "you're", which in my opinion is more of a schoolboy error, if you're going to type using improper grammar/spelling, you may as well do it properly.

But the morale is this; who really gives a shit how anyone types, apart from keyboard warriors....

thanks. although it'll sound stupid, has anyone got a good set i could use? there are only about 2 of that combo on those sites and i'm always a bit dubious about downloading them without a "seal of approval", so if anyone has a set that is fast but not impossible to handle that'd be great. i'm also working on getting out of the way safely on blue flags!

also i'll PM the MMS organisers tomorrow to clarify the situation - i'm not sure if they realise just how inexperienced i am ATM.
